First 10 questions?
1:Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
Not really. I don’t use them much anyways, but if I’m stuck on something, I’ll check out bits of a walkthrough just to get an idea on what to do or where to go. Overall though I personally see no harm in walkthroughs, and I’m glad they’re around for anyone who needs the help.
2:Company you’re always loyal to?
Never had one. The closest I had to that back in the day was maybe Capcom… but that hasn’t been true for many years now.
3:Best game you’ve ever played?
Too tough to give a true answer. But what comes to mind at the moment is Devil May Cry 3. I adore that game to bits, and its gameplay has almost everything I love in video games. I feel I’d like Bayonetta even better too… but I still have yet to play it pft.
4:Worst game you’ve ever played?
There’s probably a few bad movie tie-ins I could mention, but I can’t really remember those well enough to give a name. Barbie for the NES was a ridiculous and unplayable fever dream of a game though, and while I found amusement with how bad the game was, it’s worthy of this category for sure.
5:A popular series/game you just can’t get into no matter how much you try?
I think I actually answered a question like this aaages ago, and my answer then was Kingdom Hearts. And… fffff it’s still my answer here. I’ve played HOURS into the first one… and nothing really clicked with me. I tend to get tired out by long adventure/RPG games anyway, but I guess KH couldn’t be the exception. Maybe someday I’ll be able to play the games again… but I’ve felt no incentive to try yet.
6:A game that’s changed you the most?
Megaman Zero 4, for teaching 13 year old Moog the joys of grieving and accepting her favorite character’s death. Something she never had to deal with before. :’)
I’d also like to give Mario Paint credit too for inspiring me to create art in the first place… and also help me learn how to make my terrible music, which I consider important too.
7:A game you’ll never forget?
The time I played Yo Noid for the NES and saw the Noid’s terrifying face on the title screen.
8:Best soundtrack?
Another brutal question! I wanna go with Earthbound, just because it still amazes me how great its OST sounds. It really pushed how far the SNES soundchip could go.
9:A game you turn your volume off every time you play it?
I usually don’t mute gamesUnless you’re Megaman X7 And you’re Flame Hyenard.Never. Again.
10:A game you’ve completely given up on?
After a horrible experience beating Sonic 4: Ep. 1… I’m just fine pretending Ep. 2 doesn’t exist.
