listen, nog. i know i never said it, but… i’m proud of you. always have been, actually. yeah, you were far from the ideal of a traditional ferengi male, and i never saw it as a bad thing, i did my best not to judge you for it, but these days? i can see that it was actually a really good thing. you didn’t have the lobes for business. but you put your heart into everything you did, and defying our culture like that took a lotta guts. i always respected that. you’re a good kid, and i love you, even with all the human habits you picked up at the academy. i just hope you tormented those federation folks with the rules of acquisition as much as you did me and your father with starfleet regulations.
