"I want to kiss you," Pedro interrupted Fabio’s train of thought, rising onto his toes to reach his lips. Fabio always found it adorable when Pedro reached up himself instead of making Fabio bend down, never hiding his intentions. Though Pedro never hid his intentions at all, often making Fabio’s ears burn red.

"You want too much," Fabio replied with his usual sharpness, though he lowered his head anyway.

Pedro’s lips were salty and soft; he wasn’t pushing insistently like usual. He hesitated, as if afraid of something. Fabio buried his fingers in the hair at the back of Pedro’s head, pressing his hand there and deepening the kiss — gentle, tender, careful — feeling inexplicable sorrow and desperation in the way Pedro closed his eyes and surrendered entirely to the kiss. Fabio wanted to drown him in tenderness and care until all the bitterness dissolved in the love overflowing inside him.
