How to get 80’s hair ?

First I want to make something clear - people who say straight hair isn’t 80’s are completely WRONG!

People wore their hair straight in the 80’s 😭 idk who started that myth.

Anyways here are some easy ways to style your hair like that -

Something girls used back then are hot rollers! You can find some actual vintage ones but if that doesn’t really work for you, you can get plastic rollers and put them into warm water! BUT BE CAREFUL - if the water is too hot you can melt them. Ofc you can use them without the warm water.

You can get a similar effect with heatless curls with socks! So many tutorials you can find.

For a more accurate look - you can get a perm!

!! - Get layers, thats a game changer.

Hairspray is a NEED for big 80’s hair! (For straight hair, blow out or curly hair) In the 80’s the go to was aquanet. If you can’t find aquanet tho, my personal favourite one is the got2b one! It works amazing for me.

Teasing was also something popular and that’s how you get all the volume! That’s a major step u shouldn’t miss if you want big hair!
