Regina/Neal

First off - I ship CaptainSwan, hardcore (in case you couldn't tell by my username). Lately I've also been drawn to the idea of FireQueen/EvilFire, whatever the heck we're calling it (this thing needs an official name!)

Now, let me be blunt: I do NOT ship people I don't want to ship just to get somebody out of the way. That's not how shipping works and favorite characters or not, I want most characters on the show to find redemption and love.

Any issues I have with Neal, and I have gone off on him a bunch, are particularly with his relationship with EMMA. I actually do like the character (I ADORE young Bae in particular) and want him to find his way back to being part of the tight-knit (though extremely dysfunctional) family and be a dad to Henry and recover his relationship with Rumple (and by extension, form a connection with Belle also because she's an important part of Rumple's life). I also someday want him to be able to get along with Emma and Hook as well (their relationship needs a second chance after Bae butchered the first one and he needs to get along with Emma obviously for Henry's sake, just as she does with Regina etc etc.)

So I truly do want Neal to find happiness is what I'm saying.

Lately people have been pointing out lots of wonderful connections for the possibility of Neal & Regina down the road and I have to say I love it! (NOT to "get rid of" characters that are in the way of my OTP, but rather, for them to get their happy endings too).

So a thing I noticed that I'm OK with is that Neal & Regina's parents were once together briefly (as much as we try to block out the Rumple/Cora stuff) so it makes perfect sense that the kinder, gentler versions of them whose lives they ruined (Neal & Regina) might be drawn to each other too.

Side fact: we do know for sure that Rumple & Regina are NOT related so this is perfectly fine. In fact, everyone who was hoping they would be should be rooting for Regina/Neal now because it draws her into that family in yet another way (she's already Henry's adoptive mother, step great grandmother, etc etc, but how delicious would it be for Rumple to be Regina's father-in-law??)

Where Rumple & Cora were toxic together, I think Neal & Regina may be able to bring out the best in one another. Neal has always reminded me of Daniel (and was truly introduced to us in the episode immediately following the one where Daniel told Regina to love again!). As much as I have issues with him regarding his relationship with Emma, Neal is actually very sweet and has a good heart/means well, though it doesn't always come across right away.

We know that Neal has an issue with magic and how it's destroyed his life (and Emma being a very powerful magic being is one of the roadblocks I have to shipping SF), and Regina is basically a magic-addict that keeps trying to stop for Henry's sake but has so far been unsuccessful. If she had someone like Neal in her corner, I think she could finally do it.

Their road won't be easy, but as far as Regina goes, Neal is the only one who hasn't witnessed or directly suffered from most of her antics over the years and/or doesn't know to blame her specifically for them but rather blames his father. Therefore, she has the cleanest slate with him.

Both have been manipulated by Rumple/magic and can commiserate over this (bonding moment!)

Most importantly - they both love Henry. I predict he will be the thing that brings them together. I know that sounds counter-intuitive as he is likely to ship SwanFire, but their love of Henry will bond them and perhaps down the road, when he takes his kid goggles off and really looks at what's in front of him, perhaps he will notice (and say something) about Neal bringing out the best in Regina (which I really really hope happens). Henry is a pretty bright kid and while he may want one thing, I hope he can see what's actually happening (just like I want him to acknowledge that Hook makes Emma happy - something I am also hoping for down the road).

Neal & Regina have both been shown to want a family more than anything and Regina made the curse in such a way that she was living in a little town (eventually with a kid - his kid) and just having an ordinary life. This is basically what Neal seems to have always wanted. He approached the dream of Tallahassee with Emma to settle down and just have a quiet little life which works for some people (and I think it would for both Neal & Regina, away from all the other stuff) but Emma seems to want more adventure (similar to Milah in that way) where she's just not cut out for that. Her reaction to the idea at first makes me think it wasn't exactly what she pictured either, though she went with it and went full force to where she was devastated when it was taken away from her.

Based on Emma's life choices: thief, bail bondswoman, sheriff - she's hard-wired to seek adventure like her parents, whereas Regina just wants to settle down somewhere with a family and be happy - just like Neal.

I think that for S3 we'll have a little bit of a triangle but it won't be as blown out of proportion as we're expecting it to be. Ultimately, we'll be waiting with baited breath to see what Emma (and Hook, really) do on finding out that Neal is alive - Emma taking time to process everything, Hook giving her a little space to make the choice (because he understands what it's like to think someone you once loved is dead) - Neal probably mouthing off about Hook "stealing" yet another woman away from him and tearing his family apart which will hopefully a) make Emma stand up to him and defend Hook with something along the lines of "That pirate you hate? He risked his life to save your son after your fiancee kidnapped him and took him to Neverland to hand over to Peter Pan. We wouldn't have Henry right now if it weren't for him" and b) Emma ultimately choosing Hook and then c) Regina & Neal can commiserate and bond and maybe more toward S4 (after Neal has had a chance to lick his wounds) then they will become a thing as well.

Seriously what are we calling them cause I have no idea what to tag so tagging everything I can think of (as well as my CaptainSwan shipmates as I think you'll understand me/maybe agree?) but hope we get Neal & Regina in the future (and NOT just to pave the way for CaptainSwan). I really do think the pairings will come out of these 4 people and I just can not see HookedQueen happening, whereas the reason for the curse and the person manipulated into enacting it could be very interesting indeed (especially since both have been majorly screwed over by Rumple). I think Regina needs someone sweet like Daniel was and Neal fits that bill. *Crossing fingers that's why we haven't really seen them interact at all yet but just hear about each other a tiny bit*

Ship names

There's an head count for the ships (here the original post) and I have two questions.

.Black Queen? I haven’t heard of that one yet. (either Wood Fire) I looked in the tag is Cora and Regina, why this name? I mean when I read it I couldn’t figure out what ship was. Just asking.

.I would like to reblog that post but I should add NealxRegina ship and I don’t know what name write. Queen Thief/Thief Queen, Evil Fire, Stolen Queen or Queen Fire/Fire Queen?
