The smell of grass and flowers wafted throughout the summer air. You could see him up ahead and pushed the pedals on your bike down faster with your legs to try and keep up with him. Cottages and farms where sheep and cows roamed became blurry as you sped past them, eventually you caught up with him, face reddening and your breath coming out short and staggered. “Fuck you and your bloody long legs,” you gasped as the two of you pedalled slowly beside each other. Gwil chuckled at that, he looked relaxed and happy, peaceful even. The past year had been a train wreck of work, both you and him had been overworking yourselves. You, staying long nights at the office and him working on his latest role in a movie. This weekend away was a very much well deserved break and you tried to savour every second of it.
The sky had transformed from a bright blue to brilliant shades of orange. The two of you found yourselves back in your cozy cabin, a fire crackling in the fireplace and the smell of lit pumpkin scented candles evident in the air. You attempted to stifle a yawn which ended up being a failure and you glared at Gwils chuckling. “Tired, darling?” He asked, his sleepy expression matched yours and you shook your head while yawning again. “M’fine, I can stay up,” he rolled his eyes before standing up and pulling you up onto your own feet. “I can tell you’re tired,” he said. You were about to protest when another yawn erupted and you stood up in defeat. “I guess some sleep would be nice,” you said, letting him lead you to your shared bedroom, where you fell into a deep sleep before your head could even touch your pillow.

Watching Halloween Movies with the Queen Boys (Headcanons)

Brian:
-Would want to watch old classics, like Nosferatu, Psycho, or The Shining
-Doesn’t want to watch anything too scary because he’s concerned about you.
-You assure him that you can take it and not to worry about you getting too scared.
-Splurges on all of your favorite candy to that both of you eat while watching.
-Gets a bunch of pillows and blankets from your bedroom so you two can cuddle during the movie.
-To some annoyance, he makes comments about inaccuracies or plot holes, but you find it entertaining after a while, as long as he doesn’t do it too frequently.
-Claims that he never gets startled by jumpscares, but is easily scared whenever they happen, even if he’s seen the movie dozens of times already.
-You can’t help but laugh every time he yelps.

being married to Roger for 30+ years would include
you both have so many memories of the years when Queen was on the top and Freddie was still here
even now you often join them on tour or during recording sessions
mainly to distract Roger
but also helping with making some important decisions and taking loads of photos
you still have many polaroids taken back in the day
many from Freddie’s parties
the one you cherish the most is the photo somebody took of you two on the day you met
you’re both look absolutely drunk on it
and in fact you are
you’re sticking your tongue out and Roger is just classic Roger, grinning with his eyes squinted underneath brown shades
there was a lot of champagne happening that night
and even more over the next months
it was years later when Freddie has told you that it was actually Roger’s idea to invite you more often to the parties
if you weren’t available for some reason, he’d refuse to come as well, since “there’s no point to”
you thought it was cute but it could be years later and he’d still only shrug it off, blushing

“But that’s sweet Rogie! You fell for me at first sight!”
“Second. If not third, cause I’ve already been drinking for an hour when you came.”
you’re constantly teasing one another
Roger is generally a huge sass, even to the point of being petty
but you always know how to talk back
and he loves it about you

“But you love me don’t you?”
“Yeah, I’m a lucky lad.”
he’s not lying when he says so
he’s fully aware of how cranky he gets at times, and is still amazed by how lucky he is that you’re still by his side

He whispered one more time before putting the golden ring with both your initials embodied on it. You gazed up at him, your other hand coming to rest on his cheek reassuringly. His lips were trembling from nervousness, all the emotions and insecurities now exposing themselves. But everything was perfect. All your dearest friends were gathered around you, coastal breeze tangling in your hair and the long lace sundress you were wearing. And there he was. Dressed all in white, shirt semi buttoned as usual. Your short-tempered blonde.

your honeymoon lasted 6 months
it was obviously his idea
mainly because he wanted to have you all for himself for as long as it’s possible, before the boys were ready to record again
and those were by far the best days of your life
not that other ones were bad
but during these 6 months you’ve only fallen more in love with Roger, so as you came back home, you two were like teenage sweethearts all over again
you also quickly learned how to snap back at people with Rog
he never lets others get in his way and you admire him for it
he also doesn’t like when people gossip about you or anything related to your relationship, so it isn’t a rare thing for you to confront him at home after he badmouthed some poor, young and inexperienced journalist
on the other hand, he has always been a huge flirt
still is
only now he’s always hitting on people to tease you
for example when he’s talking to conventionally attractive interviewer, and he keeps giving his best smug grins every now and then
oh, and the cheesy pick up lines
you only roll your eyes cause you know you’re the one who’s taking him home anyway
Roger just enjoys it too much to stop, so you accept it as a part of his nature
he also adores when you’re miffed, so he can be all whiny until you forgive him
“Love she’s not even that good-looking.”
“She’s a minger! A scrubber! And you’re an old, barmy idiot! You’re really enjoying yourself don’t you? Stop laughing!”
at some point you just let go after he makes it up to you
and boy, he knows how 👀
after so many years of marriage you’re not letting yourself throw a paddy over ordinary things
and Roger knows you far too well by now and can tell when you’re really upset with something, and knows what will lighten up your mood
vacation for instance
since he’s not touring so much these days, you are off to somewhere hot quite often
there, you’re spending all days sunbathing, having long walks on the beach, sipping mojitos and generally enjoying each other’s company
you might be lazing in your hotel bed, the door to your terrace open, letting soft ocean breeze in, when you hear Roger strumming the guitar somewhere outside and humming
your gaze softens as he enters, singing some mushy ballad he used to hit on you with
you crawl to where he sits on the edge of the bed and place your head on his thigh as he continues playing
you let yourself get lost in tender sharpness of his voice, something you fell for, the moment you heard him for the first time
by the time the song is over, he holds up your hand and kisses it lovingly
no matter how much you two have been through, he still makes your heart skip a beat and you’re pretty sure your life would be a complete bore without him in it
life with Roger is a rollercoaster, but it’s totally worth all of it

How do you think Roger would be with someone who had adhd? (I'm so sorry if you've gotten this before, I only just found your blog)
I've always presented more on the inattentive side, though I can be hyper, but it mostly makes me a really messy person to live with, like I just can't clean anything up, and when I try to it quite literally sends me into a breakdown. And I infodump to people all the time, and I'm just a wreck really in all areas. My adhd is a massive issue in my life and I just honestly wonder a lot how people I idolize and love would treat me because of it
Could I get HCs for Roger in a relationship with someone who has adhd? I'm gonna describe kinda what part of ADHD I present as. I'm like, more of the inattentive type. I daydream a lot and have a really hard time processing words people say, so stuff always flies over my head. But I'm also hyper sometimes, and I can get quite loud and obnoxious. I also overshare a lot (lmao this ask is an example of that I guess) and I hyperfixate on a lot of stuff. I also get really overwhelmed by like, strong emotions, and that translates into me flapping my arms and making really loud noises, which I hate about myself. Basically I'm just a mess, especially so right now, and I so desperately want comfort from Rog

Also thanks for your patience! This past weekend I was rehearsing an online play and it got busy and I was trying to conserve my energy and recharge myself when I could!
Also, it’s normal to hate yourself. You have worth and enoughness even when you don’t feel like it. I’ll say it again, your worth, okayness, and enoughness does not change with how you feel. First off, Roger is a bit inattentive himself. He probably doesn’t have anything diagnosed, he is just a little antsy and easily bored so his mind wanders. He doesn’t have a problem keeping up with your energy. I can see you two enjoying a night stroll and then stopping at a playground to go down the slide and have fun on the swings, for example!
Both of you are more on the messy side. When you move in, your clothes are strewn across chairs and on the floor. When Deaky comes over to visit he has a heart attack at the sight of it.
He saw you breakdown from trying to clean and hugged you, assuring you would find a way to make it more fun.
But sometimes you pitch in and play music while picking it up and wind up dancing and it’s really cute.
Eventually, he uses some Queen money to hire someone to help pick up after your stuff as a gift. That way, it looks a little nicer and you don’t have to worry about breaking down.
Sometimes he will be chatting away as you ride in his car, squeezing his free hand. Then he feels your grip loosen as you look at the green blurry trees passing outside. He will go “Y/N, what’s up!”
And you look and shrug with an embarrassed smirk. “Was just...just daydreaming. Isn’t it silly?”
You felt a little ashamed admitting that to your rockstar drummer boyfriend. But he shook his golden head and said “no! No, it’s not!”
Both of you get to be loud and obnoxious together since he’s the most extroverted member of the band. Dinners together are so much fun. Even after your dessert plate is cleared with leftover chocolate stains that Roger will scoop and lick off with his fork, you still have fun. You both laugh and talk a lot. He makes you smile so hard your face hurts from all of the smiling.
If there are any spats or conflicts, both of you calm down and take time to process it, then go back to the conflict and solve it.
He helps you remember all sorts of things like the car keys or phone numbers. So then you say “you’re a genius, Rog!” and he says you’re welcome by kissing your cheek or wrapping his hand around yours.
Rog is also really intelligent. He could listen to you infodump and ask questions and be involved. He also buys you gifts and experiences involving your hyper fixation. He loves to give you all sorts of gifts and it’s really sweet.
When emotion overwhelms you, he walks you through it. Talks with you. He gives you space to flap your arms. He never nags you and doesn’t verbally nag you. Nor does he do anything to shame you. He lets you communicate your emotions and he responds kindly. He used to parent you, but he stopped. He let’s you be. Even though Roger is the wild boy, he has a heart of gold beneath all of those cigarettes and cheeky smirks.
He asks questions about your ADHD. He even reads a couple articles about it.
You adore him with all of your heart. You know you can be yourself and be loved and safe with him. You love to hug him, be the first to listen to all of his songs, run him hot baths after a long day, and you never stop telling him how wonderful he is to you.
And the same goes for him. You’re his angel and shining star.

Deaky...
Deaky is a natural romantic and you are a hopeless romantic so it’s an automatic good match! He loves to write you songs and list all the things he loves about you and leans your head against your shoulder when he’s tired.
You two like to bop along with everything in life. But together and smiling. He is fiercely devoted to you and is always at your side even when things seem scary or uncertain. And you adore his loyalty to you and match it with your overwhelming love of him to the point of near worship.
He feels so lucky to have such a sweet and patient listener. Sometimes, after a long recording day with everyone bickering, he lays down on the couch and you snuggle up to him, play with his hair, and let him rant it out while you give him affirmation of his experience and tell him everything will be okay. So then he just cuddles you for a while and sometimes you both fall asleep on that couch talking about everything and nothing
Sometimes dates get a little spontaneous, with seeing a new place especially. “I want to go there someday,” you say.
“Y/N…let’s go today.”
“Really?
“If we keep saying we will go there someday, then we will never go there at all!”
So you wind up going to whatever thing or place.
Though you both enjoy laughing and giggling like two little kids. You both take off your “adult” masks sometimes and let loose. There was one time you even took to splashing in puddles in the rain and accidentally got him. But he just laughed and grinned warmly.
You love to be escapist sometimes. And your imagination takes you. Sometimes you tell Deaky little stories before bed about him being some noble knight and you being a sort of mage and what sort of adventures you both go on. He enjoys it and always asks if he ever gets the courage to slay some monster. You always make sure he does. It’s like a story before bedtime, but he feels free to do so. In return, he shows you his Flash Gordon comics and his nerdery over them. It’s that level of childlike fun and comfort with you two.
Now for Roger...
You both have big hearts. Roger always keeps up with the news. He reads the papers every day and keeps up with it on television. But if it’s too disturbing, you have the freedom to ask him to stop. He will click it off and lovingly touch your shoulder and say “I’m sorry love, I hope you’re alright. You’ll be safe.”
You both have a flair for the artistic. At one point, Roger teaches you to play the drums with you on his lap. He shows you all the tricks and the way it can alter a song, albeit subtly, but present. It’s fun to play with and sometimes he has to pry you off his set!
But you both see the best in each other. When you feel more insecure, Roger will tell you about your creativity, your kind heart, your passion, and how loving you are, and how much he loves you. “Being a looker helps too” he adds with a slight laugh.
Roger and you also have a lot of curiosity regarding each other. Sometimes late at night, you will ask all sorts of silly questions to each other like “what cereal did you eat as a kid?” or “which month of the year’s the best for you?”
Sometimes you listen to Roger as he drafts lyrics and covers for all of his songs and projects. When he feels odd, uncertain, or like his own skills are crap, you are right there to assure him and hype him up. He also does the same for you for all of your own projects and ideas, for fun and professional. He adores how you affirm and lift him up, it gives him confidence. It a side of himself he doesn’t show often, so it makes you pretty special!
Although you are both very different. Sometimes at parties, Freddie will say something like “how in all the bloody hell did you two even end up together?” after a drink. But you two will look at each other and laugh. You balance his fire and he gives you strength and energy. Roger is the sun and you are the moon.
The way you communicate, though awkward at first because you hate confrontation, you can see right into Roger’s soul and you can tell whatever is really going on through him and hug him. Roger learns to think before he speaks. You both make a loving, romantic, and very soft pair.
Lastly Brian...
At first, you two were just pining away. There would be loving looks and glances and little talk, but nothing much. Until finally, Brian walked up to you and asked you out and you nodded eagerly, nearly squealing, and said yes!
You are both sensitive and imaginative. On your first date, Brian took you to this beautiful painting gallery that was going to be in London. There was one piece that was so lovely you both stared at it for a full five minutes. You even noticed a slight tear on him and wiped it off, and he kissed your hand as thanks.
Brian is very loving as a boyfriend. He nurses you with soup and blankets when you are sick. He holds your umbrella when it rains. He gives you a safe haven with him to be who you are and do whatever you would like and speak as you wish.
You both are very go with the flow kind of people. One evening you were looking at the options of what you would make together for dinner and you said that they both looked good. When you asked Brian what he thought he said he would be happy with either option! So you just closed your eyes and pointed at one recipe and picked it.
Brian is SUCH a sap around you. He calls you all sorts of nicknames like “honey”, “my lady/my man/my dearest one,” “my bird”, “my pearl,” and so on. It makes you melt just to hear it. You turn really red and smile really big and mutter a small thanks and kiss his cheek.
You love looking through the photos he has taken over a while and reminisce. You laugh over the time Freddie tried an acrobatic trick over a hotel pole in a closet. You admire a beautiful costume Brian wore that made him look like he had large white wings. And you share memories of your own experience with him as well. You both grow closer.
You both have artistic natures. You love listening to him strum on his more acoustic guitars when you both need peace and quiet while drawing or writing or reading or crafting or whatever you enjoy doing. These are sweet moments because you don’t need to touch or talk, just each other’s presence is enough.

Hello there, of course! I’ve already written about Brian being with an Aquarius which you can read here! As for Freddie’s friendship, he would ground you while you and give you the opportunity for growth!
So now our other two boys... (also, cw: for language and mentions of sex)
Deaky:
Physical attraction is strong to each other from the get-go. Maybe you went to a disco club where you met him and you immediately got to dance together and he asked for your number in a rush of courage!
Deaky actually gets how eccentric you are! If you have a certain mix of foods you like to eat, Deaky would probably try it too and wind up craving it all the time.
You go to hotspots together for dates: he would look at a newspaper and say “Y/N, this restaurant’s getting all the good reviews, let’s go there!” And of course, it’s very nice and trendy and special, packed with the cream of the crop, and that’s not even getting to the food!
He loves it when you take center stage. It inspires him to speak up more.
He is so warm and loving. Although you were put off with him being romantic to you at first. The songs for you and all the gifts were a lot to take in. But you got used to it and you always say “Thank you, John” with a kiss on his cheek.
Sexy time is lighthearted and fun, you never feel unloved or unsafe with Deaky. You can even laugh a lot in the safety of your own room
His tastes in clothes and his hairstyle keep changing. He wears bolder prints and brighter colors. He says he was inspired by you to break convention a little more with how he looks!
You give him cute nicknames all the time (”sweetie,” “honey”, “my Johnny,”) and he loves showing you off to the band!
Roger:
You share your ideas and are more open with Rog than with anyone else! He would go on “bloody hell, that’s brilliant, looking at it that way...” and add on to yours.
He is shining always in the spotlight from what you notice. So even you accept yourself as well and are willing to take center stage more too!
You both know lots of people. Often you are playing Scrabble with the band as Roger keeps an arm around you throughout.
Both of you love going to parties as well! You both manage to keep things alive and entertaining together and keep getting invited to all of the best ones!
You love to playfully tease him! “Roger, are you sure you’re not really a princess? Only princesses are that beautiful,” or “Roger, are you sure you won’t leave me for a car? I know you wrote that song!” And he always laughs it off and replies with something like “no, you’re far better than any car!”
He is full of compassion for you, listening to all of your problems and troubles.
There is never a dull moment with Roger around! Even when you just watch television and eat take-out you both have as much fun as any wild New Year gathering.
Both of you are artistic together. Roger finds he enjoys writing and you get to write small stories or letters together, sometimes even dabbling in painting. You talked him into taking a class for you. And he loved it. A lot.

Roger is a Leo, so you noticed him being...well, Roger at a party and you were watching mainly from the corner, nursing your drink. You were watching him all throughout the party wondering how on earth you were going to approach him...
Until he came up to you and asked how you were doing. Flustered and panicking, you responded, “I’m....I...I’m just...me...”So he offered to get you some food and see his new artwork and then you would talk and you nodded and said yes and that was that!
The next time you know you will see him, you dress up and pour on a nice scent, Roger takes a whiff, his head turns, and soon enough his number is in your pocket.
When Roger learns about your ambition and your goals, he adores it! He always lets you talk about them and he is your biggest cheerleader, as you are his.
Though you both are passionate lovers. Roger sees you and soon BAM! you’re in his arms or against the wall kissing deeply and whispering “I love you.”
Often you both find release and catharsis through something together: lovemaking until you are a sweaty, smiling mess, finding a creative project like trying to write or draw together, or having passionate discussions about politics.
You are so devoted to Roger. Although other guys like to check you out and Roger notices, you grab his hand and kiss it and all worry is forgotten!
More than once, Roger shows your shared flair for drama and serenades you on his guitar or plucks out a piano (”I love you biiiiiitch, I ain’t never gonna stop loving you, biiiiiitch”). It’s another release of how strongly you both feel for each other.
