Julith be aura farming this whole volume.
YESSSSS, BABY. YESSSSS
You go, Amalia!!! Call all of these opportunistic bastards out on their bullshit!!! Show them who's the true Sadida Queen!
Always nice to see some Huppermage action. I swear, they're so underutilised in Wakfu.
Honestly, I gotta admit I was pleasantly surprised to see Astra siding with Yugo and Amalia over whether they should give Asalar their weapons or not. I fully expected her to agree with him that the Eliatropes are responsible for a lot of the issues the World of Twelve has gone through and that they shouldn't be any more powerful than they already are.
Guess the fact that Yugo phrased it as Grougalorasalar not wanting any human wielding that kind of power probably helped.
Low-key headcanon the Huppermage class has grown weaker over the years since the Dofus era.
On the one hand, because no one seems to be able to go toe to toe with Julith, or even survive a few seconds with her. While centuries ago, at least Jahash was strong enough to do so.
And, secondly but most importantly, because apparently now they need those handles to summon their light swords.
In Dofus, Bakara, a young Huppermage who had essentially just graduated, mind you, could summon her light sword herself. Without need for artefacts or tools of any sort. But somehow, a bunch of elite guards with years of experience can't.
So, apparently, in this interview ToT confirmed that Solmäe being a woman was a happy accident, and that he originally envisioned Astra as the King of Bonta's daughter, rather than her existence being a retcon.
...which does indeed get retconned in volume 3 when Solmäe confirms they've been married and ruling for over twenty years, with even Master Joris confirming Astra has been queen for a while.
*Le sigh*
(Unless you choose to interpret Solmäe's words as them being married for that long before being crowned. To be frank, it's pretty ambiguous).
This is Julith's world. We're just living in it.
You'd think that after all this time, Bonta would improve their security measures for super powerful artifacts...
