Queen’s View, Morning vs Afternoon

Queen’s View is just a few miles away from Allean Forest, so it was a no-brainer to include it in our walk. We decided to stop there first in the morning. The sky was overcast and a big cloud was sitting on the main attraction of Queen’s View, the iconic mountain Schiehallion. To be fair, it’s not uncommon for Schiehallion to be shrouded due to it’s height. However, it made the picture of Queen’s View somewhat incomplete. Luckily, we spend a good few hours walking around Allean Forest and by the time we were finished, the cloud had cleared away. All we had to do was to drop by Queen’s View again on the way home.

I revisited two places I’ve been to 5 years ago, because I had fond memories and I wanted to share them on Youtube. We went to Queen’s View, where you can see Loch Tummel and the Scottish Highlands, Schiehallion dominating the scene. Just a few minutes away is the Allean Forest walk, which includes an 18th Century ‘clachan’, essentially a Gaelic homestead, as well as a ‘ring fort’. Enjoy!
