Today Her Majesty presided over her first Imperial Summit as sovereign. The 2022 summit (also known as the Imperial Congress) was canceled following the passing of His late Majesty King Valdemar. It was deemed inappropriate for the summit to take place while Her Majesty, who succeeded the late King, had yet to have a coronation. The Summit is typically where the monarch wears the Imperial Crown and meets with provincial leaders from around the Union. These leaders would not have yet taken the oath of fealty which takes place at the coronation. The event was held outdoors in the ruins of Old Meschner, the ancient Capitol when the empire was in its infancy. This year’s ceremony mimics the one held during the 10th Anniversary year of King Valdemar’s reign. Which was the first summit attended by our Queen when she was still Crown Princess. This is only the second time Her Majesty has worn the Crown of Imperial Unification aka the Imperial Crown. It is her right as Queen and Empress. Yesterday, January 29th was Her Majesty’s Ascension Day. The Royal Court chose not to acknowledge the day officially out of respect for Her Majesty’s feelings surrounding the circumstances in which she became Queen-Empress. Today we convey, on behalf of HM, that although the year since HM ascended the throne has been challenging at times; it has also been filled with unparalleled feelings of love, joy and gratitude. This image was taken only days before the one year anniversary of HMs ascension. HM sat calmly awaiting her journey to Council. Poised perfectly in her amethyst bandeau tiara and contemplating the whirlwind of emotions the previous year has been and suddenly a ray of light catches the shimmering purple stones and suddenly a rainbow is refracted all around the Queen. New Year, new headpiece! Her Majesty premiered a new diadem at today’s session of Council. The diadem is an all gold band of delicate oak leaves, a symbol of the Catsford Monarchy. This new piece makes the third oak leaf diadem in the Royal Collection. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Marina chose to wear the second oak leaf diadem. This historic headpiece was designed for King Marin who preferred it to the original which was made for Queen Kateland I.
