what sorts of things are you doing while youre in texas? i live here so i cant picture what tourists would do except for schlitterbahn and wurstfest
Sweet fuck all. My sisters, as I suspected, don't really travel to do things... I'm not sure why they travel actually because apart from that one night in Vegas where middle sister drank so much she vomited and passed out by 9pm and little sister partied until all of 3am, they don't even really do the drinking/partying thing. I'm trying to suss out whether that's because I'm here but I don't think so.
So like, Texas, we landed in Dallas super early on Saturday morning. Slept at an airport hotel until midday and then drove down to San Antonio stopping at Chili's on the way for lunch. Then we met up with one of little sister's old friends and walked down to the Alamo but didn't look at it. Then we walked the riverwalk and eventually got dinner. Then we got some drinks and just kind of sat there. Then we looked for ice cream and then we came home.
Yesterday I picked them up in the big van and we went to the zoo which was cool but the heat was too much for me, plus they didn't tell me that was where we going so I got sunburnt. Then we went to Hooters for lunch, and then a Walmart and wandered around that for two hours, again, not really sure why. We went back to my hotel room and sat by the pool and drank and had pizza and then they all went to bed.
And the zoo feels like the highlight of the trip so far. Really, really weird to me. I'm used to having something awesome to do every single day. Even if it's just a drive somewhere or a special meal or looking at something pretty or historic. They just kind of sit around and wonder what might happen if they moved.
But Texas, apart from the heat and the guns, seems lovely...
