Hi! I’m new to the blog! Is the July writing challenge open to any fandoms? Are there any other requirements?

Thank you in advance and I’m sorry if I missed something posted elsewhere!

It's open to any fandom, so long as your partner agrees!

The only real requirements are that you guys agree on as much as you can without outlining the story - the point of the competition is that you write your chapter with no idea what your partner is going to do to it.

For instance, Muffin and I will be writing together, so we discussed different fandoms for a bit before deciding on a crossover where anything goes. We'll actively pursue chaos: but we could just as well have decided to try and write a coherent story. That's something you'll have to decide with your partner.

You should definitely discuss content warnings with your partner before getting started, and general expectations for the fic.

Here I am, also asking you to talk about the epilogues

UGH I deserve this -_-

Okay. Positives about the epilogues

-i like that MB was too cowardly to go whole hog on the ‘people don’t marry their first datemate’ thing and Puckabrina survives.

-I also like the ‘Sabrina has a knife’ thing.

-I like that it left room for me to make Daphne and Red married. We never know who Daphne’s having kids with. I am free to believe that she and Red got In Vitro, or that the twins in question are adopted.

-I like imagining (drawing) Sabrina in two very different wedding dresses, and the idea that her wedding to Bradley is her last hurrah attempt at trying to be normal, and that after that she accepts her legacy with impunity. We’re being positive so I’m not going to talk about other possible hangups about that.

-I like the way it’s implied that things aren’t over. Sabrina talks about another incoming threat. Removing the barrier didn’t fix anything.

-Child! Advocacy! Law! Sabrina! (I know it just says she’s a lawyer but I get to make it whatever kind of lawyer I want and DAMMIT she is going to be a child advocacy lawyer)

(if I’m honest most of what I like about the epilogues is the places where I can take them and make them my own...)

I must know what you would wear to a fae gathering, particularly in the SG universe cause that’s even funnier

Ok so in the SG universe i’d just wear jeans and a t-shirt bc f titania in particular i don’t wanna make a good impression on this lady who let her husband abuse one of their kids for millenia (also like. it’s just a pretty casual universe overall)

To a more Holly Black style fae court i’d be barefoot, of course. i’ve got a bunch of gorgeous sundresses i wear pretty rarely bc chub rub, so if it was last minute i’d put on one of those. if the fae have given me TIME before spiriting me away to their court, imma go all out. get myself the fanciest of piles of chiffon. dark green, with little pink flowers all over it. maybe real flowers, if i can find em. maybe i’ll embroider em on myself. might come in useful, to have something i made myself.
