So I know I haven't been all that active lately and I've been trying to make more of an effort to participate in the fandom I love so much.
But I think I'm going to take a small break from this blog. I feel like if I don't, I'm just going to start screaming nonsensically into the void because of all the current toxicity in the fandom. People trying to talk over jewish people and their concerns, the doxxing, but on the other hand people not owing up to the fact they've made misakes.
I'm just tired out. If anyone needs or wants to talk, feel free to drop into my messages either here or on my main blog if you know it.
I wish everyone on here all the best. This fandom has introduced me to a lot of lovely people, please don't mistake that.
Don Malarkey: 1x02 Day of Days// 1x08 Last Patrol
This has probably already been done, but I adore the parallels here. We have Malarkey in Day of Days, desperate to get his Luger and doing something that prompts Guarnere to comment that ‘He’s gonna need a god damn medic’ and to call him a ‘Stupid Mick’.
Then we have him in Last Patrol, at this point as Babe says later, ‘he’s lost his five best friends’ and he just wants to keep his men safe. There is nothing left of the Malarkey we saw in Day of Days.
I have developed an renewed appreciation for Luz since watching Episode 5: Crossroads. Boyle(sp??) is injured by German artillery and needs to be dragged to cover and one of men who goes is George Luz. This man has only one hand free and is lugging around a huge radio, (I have no idea how heavy those things are, but they look pretty bulky), but he’s still out there helping.
I don’t know, it was just such a small detail that touched me.
