HI! I'm thinking about cosplaying Connor from Detroit: Become Human, and since the game is in the future the clothing has lights that are basically one with the fabric. How would I go about replicating this in real life?
Spiffy.
I would recommend putting LEDs in your garment (either inside or in the lining) and then using a fabric or plastic material to diffuse the light on the blue areas. I recommend checking out SparkFun’s e-textiles section since they sell LEDs and other components that can be sewn into clothing with conductive thread.
If you don’t want to jump into LEDs, you can use a reflective tape or fabric to create a similar effect. The tape/fabric will reflect a camera flash or light that is directed at it.
Another option could also be glow in the dark paint. It will light up at night and in dark areas and the colour will be vibrant during the day as well.
Hope this gives you some inspiration, — Duckie / Admin / Support the Blog
