dunno if we're still doing ww2 au but if so i think it'd make sense to make the targs french or italian (just in terms of where valyrian as a language would fit in most) with dany and viserys being sent somewhere else (the uk maybe?) to be educated after aerys and rhaegar's deaths. they also know their great-uncle aemon in this because i say so and going off the idea that she's a nurse maybe she meets the nw gang through aemon somehow??
Dany was born in France and grew up there (with Willem Darry) until she was about 13-ish. Was sent to the UK for education and broke away from Viserys. While I do like the idea of Dany being a pilot, I also like her being a nurse.
I don’t think she’d meet Aemon, but I like the idea of Jon knowing him in his teens. Aemon would be too old to go overseas, however, and I’m imagining Jon chooses to be a combat medic because of Aemon (there is that part in the beginning of ADWD where Jon thinks about being beside Aemon as he’s treating a soldier’s wounds). Perhaps Aemon is a doctor, and Jon (after meeting Dany as some point) promises Dany to take her to meet him when the war’s over.
