"It's not dangerous. I'll be fine."

“I think we both know that Tony would completely disagree with that.” She argued immediately, but her voice was calm. “I’m responsible for you until he comes back, Peter, and to be quite honest, I, myself, think it’s dangerous.” Even though she didn’t know him that well just yet, she still cared about him. Tony saw a lot of potential in him and so did Pepper, he was a great kid, but he was still so young, although she did know he was capable of taking care of himself. But still, just like with Tony. it didn’t stop her from worrying.

Getting to fight side by side with Spider-Man sounded like a dream come true for just about anyone, right?--And that just might be the case except for the minor, tiny detail that they were getting their &%@ kicked. And he’s begun to wonder about the limits for aforementioned hero, who sounded far younger than he’d expected him to. “Sure. Right. Look Webs, I’m not saying we should run away but, I’m saying maybe we should run away. Think the French called it ‘regrouping’.” Another low rumble shakes the piece of drywall they’re using for cover and Wade peeks out into the battlefield before dropping his gaze back to the other.  “Huh? Oh, yeah, no, I’m swell. Couldn’t be better.” Ignore the gaping cavity in the middle of his torso, one creating about a foot-sized peeping hole through his body, blood still tricking from the circumference of the wound. “Feeling a little peckish though, could really go for some hot dogs.”

It wasn’t all too often that another hero in Ally’s age range piqued the Avengers’ interest. Maybe it was because Ally was around that Tony started looking at younger heroes--or at least she liked to think that--but no matter the impetus, Ally was ecstatic to meet someone closer to her age who she could talk to about the craziness of hero life. So far it was just her and Wanda and she was ready to expand the young club.

She nearly skipped into the living room where Peter had been waiting, a big grin slapped across her face. “Hi there! You must be Peter. I’m Ally and it’s really nice to meet you! I kept telling Tony we needed more young people and he finally listened! How long have you been doing the Spider-Man thing?”

Alright kid, this is going to suck, but if you’re getting this then it means that my will has been activated, and that also means that you, my young friend, have suddenly come into possession of a chunk of change. Use it. Educate yourself and go to a good school. Pursue those science dreams and make yourself into something spectacular. You have it in you, so go as far as you can with it.

Be the future, and don’t let me down. You’ve got an excellent integrity, firm values, and a big heart. Don’t lose any of those to the harshness and realities the world has to offer. They’re hard to get back.
