Even though the two of them had spoken before, Arlene felt slightly nervous around Zoe. Maybe it was because of the fact that Zoe was at the top of the food chain at school while Arlene fell very close to the bottom of the totem pole. Or maybe it was due to the simple fact that Arlene did find the other female very attractive. Though Arlene was never sure if certain girls or guys for that matter were ever interested in her. So, here she was admiring Zoe from afar as the girl was just simply walking down the hallway. It just so happened to be that Zoe was walking toward her and she could feel her heart beating faster.
