Hiiii, I’m Bliss 👋🏾👋🏾 I laugh at my own bad puns and take my sweet runt of a kitty on walks. I often find myself tokenised by white people, my hair touched/pulled daily, and my accomplishments trivialised. When I’d express my concerns or was put in uncomfortable situations, others would just laugh it off rather than address the bullshit. Now I’m on a journey focusing more on self-care and being with folks who communicate and actually understand my experiences. I will no longer protect problematic people's fragile egos for the sake of not "rocking the boat". They have enough privileges and I am a person with feelings.

Blackout is the holiday I look forward to. I love getting to see all of this melanin and energy. I’m so proud of all of you. I’m so glad to be apart of this community. We look after one another in a way that others won’t understand. Why would they?
