Captain Acebeard is always up for social revolution!

Last night was the best night ever! Queer Bomb Dallas was magical, the speeches were amazing and the march itself was so empowering. My voice is so hoarse today from leading some of the chants! Queer bomb is all about inclusion and empowerment, you couldn’t ask for a better queer community to be a part off. This years march was dedicated to Texas' Queer and Trans youth which I was very happy about. 

I have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had in this wonderful community including @qunaribaratiddies, @queer-plant, and @lord-darth-tantrum I had the great pleasure to pall around with all evening!

I didn’t get any pictures of it but I actually had both the Aromantic flag and the Asexual flag on my pole. If I can find some pics featuring the aro one I’ll post them up!

QueerBomb Lights Up the Night

Hundreds took to the streets of Deep Ellum and danced the night away at RBC for QueerBomb on Saturday night. Originally started as an offshoot of Austin’s QueerBomb in 2013, the Dallas alternative pride festival provided a free, safe space to come together and celebrate each others differences in the LGBT community.

QueerBomb sets itself apart from the annual Dallas Pride, which is held every September in Oak Lawn, by entirely funding itself through community events and crowd-funding campaigns, committing to remaining free of corporate influence, according to organizers. The festival is also held the last weekend of June, widely celebrated as LGBT Pride Month in honor of the 1969 Stonewall riots. Photos by Brian Maschino

Queer Bomb Dallas is next Saturday June 24, 2017!

Our city’s alternative queer pride extravanza is back with all the glitter-covered, rowdy revelry you’ve come to expect! Hang with local queer artists, activists, freaks, friends and fam as we strut through the streets and dance the night on fire — IT’S QUEERBOMB DALLAS 2017, Y'ALL!!! The fun starts at 5pm with an organizational and art fai; we got live bands, DJs, drag and performers all day long; a rousing rally full of fantabulous speakers; and a sickening after-party that’ll move your body and heal your soul. And it’s all 100% community funded (no corporate sponsorships), open to all ages, family-friendly and free to attend! Yaaaaaassss!! We’re celebrating LGBTQIA EVERYTHANG with performances by: - LIVE BANDS: Starfruit and Mercury Rocket - NON-STOP DJS: Night Nurse, DJ Shams, DJ Wiley, and DJ Athena - SPOKEN-WORD ARTISTS Lady B Smoove and Gayle Bell - LOCAL LEGENDS Rodd Gry (aka. Me: I went last year and had a great time! The speakers are great and so was the poetry slam last year. I just found out I’ll be able to go next weekend! 

IT IS ABSOLUTELY ASEXUAL INCLUSIVE! As you can see from my pictures from last year, they even had an ace flag up!
