Then the ambassador laid his hand, palm up, on the table. “Take my hand and flip it over. So I know that you are as weak as all those humans are.”
Data felt the temperature in his face rise. He felt uncomfortable. But there seemed to be, like in diplomacy, layers of this discomfort.
First, he didn’t like the way Rhael tr’Kovrek talked about humans. Second, Data was unsure what would result from the sensory input of touching his hand.
In just a millisecond, Data flipped over Rhael’s hand.
Then Data looked at him. “I am clearly much stronger than you, Ambassador,” he said, looking into Rhael’s shocked eyes.
