A good tip for someone who wants to learn to knit and crochet; even if you are an adult, get knitting/crochet books designed for kids. They are the simplest and most clear and cover the basics fairly well.

When you have an hour to an hour and a half of commute time from work and home taking knitting on the bus is almost a must.
Had to call off work due to me having a major medication mix up leaving me real messed up. But while I feel like shit I can at least get some progress done on my sweater sample. Hope y’all like my pjs 😂
Current commission I’m working on; a baby blanket for my mother’s coworker. I’m making it out of Bernat Blanket Stripes in the Seaside colorway. Love working with this yarn 💜 Should be finishing this up today or tomorrow
Crochet and D&D, how I spend every Friday night
I was going to work on my baby blanket commission but Rory has other ideas (yes he is very large)
Starting sketch of what I hope to be a watercolor painting. This is of Lilith, one of my many cast of characters. She is wearing a headdress based off one I saw on Pinterest and fell in love with.
Big News!
So after some thought I’ve decided to pull together Queer Stitches, my little knitting/crochet business, and my traditional artwork into Queer Stitches Multimedia Arts. I love the name too much to completely get rid of it. So from now on I will be posting my knitting/crochet things as well as my traditional artwork on this blog together.
In life news I have been accepted into Cleveland Institute of Art! I start there this fall. Due to me being a freshman at 20 (turning 21 in September) I will be housed with the upperclassmen in the apartment styled dorms. Honestly thank god, because I don’t want to constantly be asked to buy booze for underage students. I’m very excited to finally doing what I’ve wanted to be doing my whole life. I will be posting about that fun college stuff here as it pertains to my art and its progression.
