Healed pictures of my dear friend Eva’s tattoo, the first next to the medieval tower depicted in it. She came to me with a commission during lockdown, for an illustration about a dream she had when she was 7, of this tower from her childhood standing as the Smith Waite Tower card, surrounded by Capricorns. She wanted the illustration to be later tattooed once the universe would allow us to, and so we did this past January, almost two years after I completed the drawing. It is most meaningful to me to post these pictures as I am now about to go back to England, after 6 month spent in France to heal. The studio pictures were taken by my friend @dwam in Vancouver and the tower is in Brittany, two places I love dearly involving people I love just as much, and it reminds me of how grateful I am for the people who are in my life, and especially the past 6 months. It has been a roller coaster of emotions and hard work, rest and reflections, and it would have never been possible if I didn’t have the support system, and the clients I have. I am ever so grateful for anyone who got tattooed by me this year, or decided to wait patiently for me to come back, I may have not spoken out much about it but all the comments, messages, memes and little attentions have meant the world to me and contributed to give me the strength to work harder at being a better artist, and taking better care of myself. And I’m not dismissing anyone who might’ve been fed up, couldn’t wait or couldn’t understand. We have to walk the paths we walk and we can’t have everyone’s validation, and that’s perfectly ok.
