Hello! I’m a transgender men who only started to transition socially around two years ago and I only learned about the words transmisandry and transandrophobia recently when seeing discussion about the demonization of men, I hope my post don’t come off as me trying to undermine what queer men and masculine people face in the lgbtqia+ community but most importantly I hope that’s not what I’m doing without seeing it and please, do tell me off if my behavior come down to being exclusive
While I do think the term Transandrophobia is appropriate as most hatred of queer mens and in this case transgender and/or masc generally come from the fear of men, I am unsure about the term transmisandry.
Misandry is the dislike or mistrust of men, it's often used as a 'gotcha' against feminism. Misandry, unless feminism, is the direct response to patriarchy and women opression—but so is androphobia, so I'm not sure about my unease with the term misandry, maybe because of its use by misoginistic people as a gotcha like I said, but it’s not the case here.
Anywho, I have found this post helpful about the term Transandrophobia, so if someone find the patience to explain it to me or link a post or article about transmisandry, I’ll be happy to read and listen! Same if someone want to talk about it <33
