This image was shot last year as one of the first for my photo project “Queering the Southern States,” which documents the lives and experiences of LGBT Americans living in the Deep Southern Red States. This is my good friend Mallory, who I met when I was first coming out in 2008. I’ll be adding more of these images soon, as I’m getting back into regular blogging to document the progression of my various art projects and film photography obsession.
