Chae Buttuh Came To Elsewhere And It Was Amazing
Last night we were wowed by a conversation in the round with Chae Buttuh, followed by a performance that got us on our feet and swaying to some sweet sounds in the Collab.
This performer from the Carolinas brings awareness to issues in the LGBT community through their music. We are so glad they were able to visit QueerLab to talk about their work and answer questions from inquiring minds.
Wednesday, April 9, 2014 - More than 15 editors from across the Triad area attended the first “I Don’t Do Boxes” Editorial Team meeting of the 2014 season at Elsewhere in Greensboro. Using media as an icebreaker, team members shared publications and influential artist works, discussed current trends in queer media, and imagined what the purpose of the magazine could be. After reviewing the first batch of submissions, the group brainstormed further outreach and new design ideas for the second issue launching June 6 (submission deadline April 21). Learn more about getting involved and submitting your work for the magazine and mixed tape at http://goelsewhere.org/queerlab and http://idontdoboxes.org.
Hot off the presses - a proof copy of I Don't Do Boxes. Join us for the release on June 7
