but gwen died in the comics so they did nothing wrong
They did though! They didn’t follow the storyline in the comics anyways, and besides that, there was no reason to kill her. In the comics they killed Gwen because they didn’t want her and Peter to get married, and in the movies they had already set up that Gwen was leaving to study at Oxford anyways. Just because they killed her in the comics, does not mean that they needed to kill her in the movies.
tbh I’m really sick of seeing this excuse for her death because as I talked about in my earlier post here. Gwen was very much a different character in the movies then the comics, her story should not have ended the same way. And besides if they had treated Gwen like the full fledged character she was, they would not have dismissed her as simply as killing her off to further Peters story arc and man-pain. The original comic where she died literally came out 40 years ago, it’s time that female characters were given what they deserved and not hurt simply for the heroes development. This troupe has repeated itself over and over. If they wanted a good story, they would have let Gwen live, let her continue with her life, and continue it apart from Peter. It’s about time that writers stop killing off women for the men’s arcs, it’s terribly unimaginative and honestly, they need to have a story were they didn’t treat the women like they were disposable. Gwen could have been a beautiful example of the story, but no she got thrown to the side by the writers, so no, they did everything wrong.
queermaid said: Being a Christian witch is an oxymoron. If I recall properly, there is something in the Bible that demonizes witches/witchcraft - I never read the Bible even when I was a devout Christian so dont take my word for it
oh no, i believe you. i'm pretty sure i've read the passage you're talking about. the person refers to themselves as a christopagan so idk you can take what you want from that but i'm just annoyed at this person i'm following who is trying to define witchcraft to this christopagan and he is defining it wrong and as far as i know he has no experience with paganism or witchcraft so i'm just annoyed right now.
queermaid said: no no no why why do people do that. good freaking god……. this world is deteriorating quick
it's really fucking annoying i only practice very rarely and i admit i'm not the most educated on this stuff but the shit he's saying is so ridiculous like why are you telling people about their own practices as if your opinion means anything esp. when you're clearly not pagan or a witch or a christian??????
queermaid replied to your post:i don’t know how one person’s annoyance level...
