Rainy bujo spread from a couple weeks ago, really happy with the way it turned out at the end. This was from my one-year anniversary with my girlfriend, which went so well! She’s in Germany for work now and I’m missing her like crazy, but she comes back home a week from tomorrow :D

I’m Ellie (studyblr @queernotes), a 21-year-old rising Junior at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor! This will be my second semester here after taking a year off from school. I went to Bowdoin College right out of high school, and after a year decided that wasn’t the right fit for me. I am majoring in English Language and Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing, and I’ve spent most of this summer working on developing the plot and characters for a fantasy YA series I’m writing. Other than English, I’m really interested in linguistics, space science, neuroscience, and psychology, and might pursue a Cognitive Science minor with a linguistics-track.
I am a cis girl using she/her pronouns and I am about to celebrate my first anniversary with my amazing girlfriend. She is currently teaching me some Chinese, since she is half-Chinese and her mom speaks better Chinese than English. My biggest interests are listening to music (EDM, Electropop, Indie, Alternative, and Pop), writing (fantasy, sci-fi, and personal essays), and watching Netflix (currently re-watching The L Word with my gf). I’m pretty new to the studyblr community, which I joined to try to bring my GPA up for the second half of my time here at U of M.
I realize I am the oldest person so far in this network??? (Correct me if I’m wrong!) And though I’m not by any means saying that makes me more experienced, I do want to stress that if any of you ever have any questions or want to talk or need advice, I am always here for you guys <3 I went through my fair share of really tough experiences, and it took me a while to get to the point in my life that I’m in. So please, if you’re struggling and feel overwhelmed or scared or whatever, know you’re never as alone as you first think.

Deciding to finally start being more active on here with some original posts. <3
Kept it simple with my bujo spread this week... my girlfriend suggested the mushrooms and snails theme, and I’m pretty happy with the colors I picked out. I decided to upload the blank version from the beginning of the week since things started to get out of hand a bit when I filled it in.
July 24-26 Weekly Calendar
Spacey bujo from this past week... my first ever spread that I’m posting on my blog! I’m extremely interested in any advice you all might have about organization/layout/color scheme/aesthetics. But I’m overall really happy with how it turned out! I’m still experimenting with different kinds of handwriting and my new pens (Studio Series 0.4 mm), but I definitely want to invest in some other brands before I settle on a favorite.
Since I’m a new blog, I don’t know many of you yet, so please feel free to drop by whenever and introduce yourselves! I’ll probably do an introductory blog rates promo or something today or later this week.

07/31/17 - 08/06/17 || Trying out some new bujo techniques in this earthy theme. I’ve been packing my apartment up into uhaul boxes and decided to just run with that color scheme for this week’s journal. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but I think I’ll try a new habit tracker style next week. (insp)

A young adult post-apocalyptic novel I am currently working on, featuring a number of neurodivergent, queer, and poc characters. I grew up hating how hard it was to find good representation, and I want to dedicate my career to changing that.
