Pre-everything, Hide is definitely messier. Post-stuff... Kaneki loses cleaning motivation pretty severely, so they're matched, and sometimes someone else has to prod both of them into getting their living space tidied up.

4. Living space has a leak! Who fixes it?

I can't really imagine them living together on their own, but let's pretend: Kaneki fixes it, then discovers three more problems that need fixing, and each problem uncovers three more, until Hide just calls a repair company.

I need to be clear that Kaneki is not causing these additional problems, it just has a tendency to find the bad spots.

10. Any pets? Or plants?

No plants. No pets unless Hide takes care of it, or unless they're living in the house with everyone else, in which case Hinami has a cat and they have joint ownership.

11. Baths or showers? Together or separate? Any bubbles or bubble fights?

Kaneki is prone to standing in the shower with its head against the wall until the hot water runs out. Hide tries to coax it into baths for this exact reason, but sometimes the best he can do is share the shower so he can pull it out when it gets cold. Sorry, that's not a pleasant answer, but it is accurate.
