Sister was a clone trooper who served under Obi-Wan Kenobi in the 7th Sky Corps. She was transgender, and was given the name "Sister" by her fellow clones as a sign of support for her and her gender identity. She made a point to honour all of her fellow troops that fell in battle.

Sister was a transgender clone trooper in the Galactic Army of the Republic. She was part of the 7th Sky Corps, and worked with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on a few missions. She carried a DC 15-A blaster rifle and had pink and blue armour paint.
Sister was loyal to her brothers, and made a point to honour her fellow clones that fell in battle. Her brothers were just as loyal right back to her. Sister said that her name was “how her brothers tell everyone she belongs,” and that they “never let her doubt” herself when they left Kamino. Anakin Skywalker was also supportive and accepting of Sister, and assured her that the Jedi would also be accepting of her gender identity.
Sister has appeared in two novels: Queen’s Hope by EK Johnston in 2021, and Brotherhood by Mike Chen in 2022.
Johnston commissioned artwork of Sister for the book’s release. Made by Uzuri Art, Sister was originally depicted with pink and blue armour paint, and black cornrow-style braids.
As with all the clones, Sister is based on Temuera Morrison, who is Polynesian. In the original commission, Sister has cornrows, which is a culturally Black hairstyle. EK Johnston was criticized for this decision as both erasure of Maaori and Polynesian representation, and as cultural appropriation for using cornrows on a non-Black character. After this criticism, EK Johnston commissioned the artist to change Sister’s hairstyle to look more like French braids.
Johnston has also been criticized for Sister's poor inclusion in the novel. Sister appears for less than one page, and her few lines are about being trans.

TK-421 was a stormtrooper serving on the Death Star in 0 BBY. He was secretly involved with Grand Moff Tarkin after the officer saw 421's holo-recording, calling him "beautiful" and sending him a message inviting him to Tarkin's quarters. 421 was even able to make Tarkin laugh during their private moments together, and Tarkin reassigned him to what was supposed to be a safe post. Unfortunately, 421 was killed by Han Solo and his armour was worn to disguise Luke Skywalker.

TK-421 was a stormtrooper on the Death Star in 0BBY. We learn about him in the short story “Of MSE-6 and Men” by Glen Weldon in From a Certain Point of View: A New Hope – but he first appeared in A New Hope.
As a worker in a maintenance unit, 421 often worked with droids, including mouse droid unit MSE-6-G735Y – G7 for short. After G7 ran into Grand Moff Tarkin – literally ran into him and knocked him over – the mouse droid malfunctioned and played a holo of 421 without his helmet on. Tarkin found the trooper very attractive, and with the help of G7, the two men began a clandestine relationship of sorts, spending time together in Tarkin’s quarters doing “human-being stuff” that G7 didn’t need to see. The two fell for each other quickly, and Tarkin planned on adding 421 to his personal security detail and moving into his penthouse on Coruscant. Tarkin immediately had 421 transferred to security detail on level 300, a relatively “cushy” job that was meant to keep him out of danger. 421’s first assignment was guarding a light freighter ship, which, unfortunately for him, turned out to be the Millennium Falcon. Along with TK-710, 421 was tricked into boarding the ship, where Han Solo shot him, Luke Skywalker stole his armour, and the group shoved his body into a crawl space.
421 was a “beautiful” man with a “remarkable” body, according to Tarkin. He had an eye for interior design, and appreciated the Death Star’s flattering lighting and the Coruscant fiberweave carpet in Tarkin’s quarters. He cared about his appearance and hated how bad the stormtrooper helmet was for his skin. He had a habit of ignoring things he didn’t want to hear, was cleverer than he let on, and was the only one who could make Tarkin laugh. One of the best things about 421 though, in my opinion, is how he cared for his little mouse droid. He had dreams to take G7 to Coruscant and enter it into the droid racing circuit.
Name: Cohmac Vitus

Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus was a well-respected scholar and mystic during the High Republic era. He was the master of Padawan Reath Silas, and was good friends with the Wayseeker Jedi Orla Jareni. Cohmac had a very strong connection to the Force, and he was more affected by disturbances than other Jedi were. While Cohmac was rational and steady, he had unresolved issues with how the Jedi Order dealt with grief and emotions, which intensified during the Nihil conflict.

Cohmac Vitus was a Jedi Master in the High Republic Era. In the Jedi Order, he was a well-respected scholar and mystic, particularly in the fields of folklore and ancient cultures. He was highly sensitive to the Force – moreso than most Jedi – and generally preferred reason and logic to acting on emotion. Cohmac was considered by many to be very handsome: he had light brown skin, greying black hair almost to his shoulders, and an angular build. In phase one of the High Republic, he’s probably in his 40’s or early 50’s. Nevertheless, Cohmac was “more resolute in his vows” than many other Jedi, although there were rumours he had once been in love. In any case, Vernestra Rwoh still caught Cohmac admiring Xylan Graf’s chest when he thought no one was watching.
While Cohmac considered himself to bring steadiness and rationality to the Jedi Order, that in itself came from a place of repressed emotions. Cohmac’s master, Simmix, died on a mission while Cohmac was still a Padawan. Not only did Cohmac feel responsible for his Master’s death, he was angry at the Jedi Order for not allowing him to grieve. He bottled up that anger within himself, but after the Great Disaster and the rise of the Nihil, it came to the surface. Cohmac began to question the Jedi philosophy and their approach to fighting the Nihil. Why were they expected to hide their feelings? Why did they ignore the Dark side of the Force instead of examining it?
While Cohmac often appeared to be unshakable, the Nihil conflict spurred his inner turmoil. He went from thinking like a scholar to believing that the Jedi could not flinch while facing the Nihil – and he started to fight like it.
Cohmac was the master of Padawan Reath Silas, another Jedi who preferred scholarly pursuits before his path led him elsewhere. Cohmac said that Reath would be his greatest instructor in the force, and they both pushed themselves to the edge of their comfort zones. He was also good friends with the Wayseeker Jedi Orla Jareni, who he had grown up with as younglings and who was with him on the mission that Master Simmix died. Orla was Cohmac’s opposite in temperament, but also one of the people he trusted the most.

While Cohmac hoped teaching Reath would help him find balance within the Order, Cohmac couldn’t get past his grief, anxiety, anger, and doubt. Orla’s death during the fall of Starlight Beacon was the last straw. That night, he officially named Reath a Jedi Knight and gave him his lightsaber. Cohmac said that he was no longer a Jedi, and disappeared into the night.

Sylvestri Yarrow was a hauler during the High Republic era. She was the daughter of Chancey Yarrow, who raised Sylvestri to be a tough, intelligent, skilled person. Syl was emotional, had a heavy temper, and had romantic daydreams about Jordanna Sparkburn, whom she met during her time on Tiikae.

Sylvestri Yarrow has been described by creator Justina Ireland as “Han Solo with worse luck." She was a hauler and pilot during the High Republic era.
Syl is depicted with dark skin, kinky black hair, and seeming much larger than she actually was. That probably has to do with her big personality – Syl was a very emotional person. Yes, she dealt with a lot of grief and sadness, but she also had a big temper, she fell in love hard, and wasn’t the greatest at hiding her feelings. Emotional as she may be, Syl was also incredibly tough. She was a proficient fighter and carried a blaster rifle named Beti. She grew up on the fringes of the galaxy with her mother, Chancey Yarrow, who raised her to be strong and resilient. This included periodically dropping Sylvestri off on random planets to learn different skills, like hyperspace technology, or close combat – in which she was knocked unconscious and had multiple bones broken by Nihil Tempest Lourna Dee, learning that even at only 13 years old, no one would go easy on her.
Syl’s experiences made her an intelligent and adaptable person. Among all of the skills she had learned, she was incredibly resourceful and could fight her way out of most situations. That being said, she did not have a taste for politics or luxury, which made her very uncomfortable. She had strong opinions about the Jedi and the Republic: she did not like them. She couldn’t understand why they weren’t doing more to stop the Nihil and protect people in the Outer Rim.
Despite all of this, Sylvestri had a softer side. She was a daydreamer and a romantic, especially when it came to Jordanna Sparkburn. The two met when Sylvestri was left on the planet Tiikae, and they immediately fell in love. Unfortunately, Jordanna didn’t accept Sylvestri’s invitation to travel the galaxy with her, which broke Syl’s heart.
During Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland, Sylvestri finds herself roped into an investigation by hyperspace magnate Xylan Graf. Syl, who believes her mother to be dead, is informed that Chancey Yarrow is working with the Nihil on an artificial gravity well generator. On Xylan's request, Syl goes on a mission to the Berenge sector with him, Vernestra Rwoh, Imri Cantaros, Reath Silas, Cohmac Vitus, and Jordanna Sparkburn. On the mission, Syl and Jordanna talk about their past relationship and resolve some of the tension between them. Jordanna admits that she regrets not leaving Tiikae with Sylvestri.
Along with Imri and Reath, Syl is kidnapped by the Nihil and reunites with Chancey. Chancey asks Syl to stay with her and help her work on the gravity well generators, but Syl refuses. The group is rescued by the other Jedi and Jordanna. Upon her return to Coruscant, Sylvestri is gifted the ship the Vengeful Goddess by Xylan, and she plans to travel to Takodana with Jordanna.

Jordanna Sparkburn was a member of the San Tekka clan and the deputy on the planet Tiikae. She fell in love with Sylvestri Yarrow, but declined Syl's invitation to travel the galaxy together. Jordanna was tough, intelligent, determined, and had a penchant for violence that most Jedi found disturbing. She also had a vollka named Remy, a large hunting cat who could should lightning from their horns.

Jordanna Sparkburn was part of the infamous San Tekka clan, which is how she ended up as the deputy on the planet of Tiikae. She had long, dark, curly hair; sandy-hued skin; and freckles. She was headstrong, confident, and had a penchant for violence that Jedi found disturbing. Jordanna believed that actions spoke louder than words, and was constantly frustrated with how the Jedi weren’t protecting people on the frontier. Her planet, Tiikae, had faced many struggles: a Nihil invasion, attacks from the mercenaries hired to deal with the Nihil invasion, kidnappings from the Zygerrians and the Hutts, the Drengir, and even more Nihil violence. Jordanna felt a strong duty to protect her planet, but also recognized when she was outmatched. Despite how violent she could be, Jordanna wanted to make a difference in the galaxy and change it for the better.
Jordanna fell in love with Sylvestri Yarrow when the latter was visiting Tiikae. Sylvestri saw the side of Jordanna that was humorous, philosophical, curious, and romantic. Still, she declined Syl’s invitation to leave the planet together, stating that she had duties due to her position in the powerful San Tekka family.
Jordanna also had a vollka named Remy, a large hunting cat whose horns could shoot bolts of electricity. Remy wasn’t fond of strangers, but was very fond of Sylvestri.
In Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland, Jordanna works with Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh during a Nihil attack on Tiikae. She goes with the Jedi to ask for help from the San Tekka clan on Coruscant. When she arrives on the planet, she happens to reunite with Sylvestri, six months after their break-up. Jordanna joins the mission to the Berenge sector with Xylan Graf, the Jedi, and Sylvestri. She admits to Syl that she regrets not accepting her invitation to travel the galaxy and announces her intentions to win Syl back. After being stunned by a Nihil attack on Everbloom, Jordanna works with the Jedi to rescue Sylvestri and the kidnapped Padawans. After returning to Coruscant, Jordanna decides to step away from her duties as San Tekka deupty on Tiikae, and to travel to Takodana with Sylvestri instead.
Name: Queen Dima

Queen Dima ruled the planet Eiram and was married to Queen Thandeka. Dima was the queen regnant, the one who had inherited the throne, and made decisions with consultation with both her advisors and Thandeka. With her wife's urging, Queen Dima refused to shoot down the plummeting space station Starlight Beacon, instead trusting the Jedi to handle the situation.

Queen Dima was the queen regnant of the planet Eiram, which meant she officially held all the power. She was married to Queen Thandeka, who held the title of queen consort. Dima had thick grey hair styled in elaborate braids, and was probably in her sixties or seventies during phase 1 of the High Republic. Dima was first mentioned in Into the Dark by Claudia Gray, but her first appearance was in The Fallen Star.
Dima was a steady but decisive queen. Twenty-five years before Into the Dark, Queen Thandeka was captured and taken hostage. While the planet Eiram did not want to associate with the Republic or the Jedi at the time, Dima decided to ask them for help to save her beloved wife. Under her reign, Eiram re-opened diplomatic relations with its sister planet, E’ronoh, and officially became part of the Repubilc. Dima always considered her advisors opinions, but she valued her wife’s input most of all.
Dima had called for aid from Starlight Beacon after a massive cyclone that left the planet in crisis. Starlight was attacked by the Nihil while providing supplies and assistance to Eiram, and was on course to crash into one of the planet’s largest cities, Barazza. Queen Dima had to decide whether to preemptively shoot down Starlight Beacon and kill those aboard, or to trust the Jedi and risk her own citizens’ lives. In the end, with Queen Thandeka’s opinion in mind, Dima decided against shooting the station down, refusing to allow the Nihil’s attack to turn the people of Eiram into murderers.
Name: Chase Wilsorr

Chase Wilsorr was a young, anxious, clumsy human man who delivered supplies around the Rebellion's Echo Base on Hoth. He knew every inch of the tunnels in Echo Base and used that knowledge to help people escape during the Empire's attack. He was romantically attracted to Jordan Smythe, a tauntaun handler, and the two shared a kiss as they successfully escaped the Imperial attack.

Chase Wilsorrwas a member of the Rebellion who served as a kitchen hand and supply runner in Echo Base on the planet Hoth. He was an incredibly hard worker, but unfortunately, his clumsiness and anxiety held him back from what he considered the “important” jobs, like a soldier or sentry. He couldn’t even pass basic training. Chase’s rejections and demotions really lowered his confidence, even when others tried to reassure him that he was an important part of the Rebellion.
Even though Chase wasn’t a fan of his role, he was a great supply runner. He had helped construct the tunnels through the base when the Rebellion first arrived – and yes, he may have accidentally set his ion cannon a little too high and created a blast that got him demoted, but the point is that Chase was familiar with all of the tunnels in the base. Since he knew every nook and cranny and unused hallway, Chase was one of the fastest supply runners on Hoth.
Chase had a crush on Jordan Smythe, a handsome new tauntaun handler who valued Chase just as he was. Chase got super flustered around Jordan. He tripped over his words and blurted things out without thinking. On his caf runs – aka coffee runs – Chase kept Jordan’s drink in a separate thermos so that it would still be hot when he got to the tauntaun stables.
When the Empire attacked Echo Base, Chase’s “useless” skills ended up saving lives. Thanks to his knowledge of the tunnels, he was able to avoid cave-ins and lead countless medical workers, foot soldiers, communications officers, refugees, and more away from danger and to the evacuation shuttles. Chase put his own life on the line to go find Jordan, who was still in the tauntaun stables. Chase directed Jordan – and his tauntaun, Sunshine – through the base and just barely made it onto the last evacuation ship, the Bright Hope. As they flew away, Chase finally worked up the courage and asked Jordan for a kiss – a request that was happily accepted.
Though we learn about his story in “A Good Kiss” by C. B. Lee in From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, Chase actually first appeared in the film! You can see him cut between Leia and Han during their hallway argument when Han decides to leave.

Tal Veridian was Lando Calrissian's self-proclaimed second-in-command on Cloud City. She was also the lover of Lieutenant Ela Radodan, an Imperial officer, although the two conspired together against the Empire.

We all know that Lando Calrissian was the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, but Tal Veridian was his self-proclaimed second-in-command.
Tal appeared in the short story “The Backup Backup Plan” by Anne Toole in From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back. She had dark skin and brown eyes, and apparently dressed like a foreign trader. She knew Basic, at least a little of Mando’a, and likely other languages.
We don’t know exactly what Tal’s role on Cloud City was, but we do know that she was a well-known leader and a quick thinker. When the Imperials arrived, Tal was determined to free a ship full of Cloud City miners from being abducted from the Empire. With the help of the mechanics Kiren and Baudu, Tal was able to save the miners – with some extra help from an Imperial officer, that is. Yep, Tal was in a relationship of sorts with the Imperial Lieutenant Ela Radodan, a rebel sympathizer who called Tal – what was it again? Oh, right – “the sexiest rebel scum this side of Corellia.”
