These are always emotional for me to write, but I think this one is worse because I was actually in school today. Aaliyah has changed my views and perspectives on so many things. She’s the reason why I’m the way I am. She inspires me with the way she treated everyone with respect. She was not only a beautiful girl, but her soul was beautiful. She was the light in a dark room and I just wish I could’ve met her. But I know she’s happy now and we all have to preserve her legacy and continue to treat other people the way she did. Aaliyah I love you my sweet angel!

It dawns on me that she would’ve been 38 this year and who knows maybe producing movies and dropping albums. Even though she is no longer here she lives on in our hearts and she lived a full life. Happy Birthday my sweet angel! Always watching over me.. Rest in Paradise.
