Soon there will be icicles just like these! Ack. "Illiad" kirin sculpture from January 2012. Those antlers still bug me. #sculpture #crafts #art #polymerclay #handmade #quequinoxart (at Kingston, Ontario)

Figured I'd send you guys some CC! :)
Oh my god look at that stud. Thanks for the pictures!
another reason you need to go to Gainesway is....Hat Trick! He's the only Sunday offspring in Kentucky I think. Gorgeous. Black with lighter brown eyes. Dunno if you saw my pictures of him on facebook. He was a horse I hadn't heard much of but fell in love with on sight!
Indeed he is! In fact, he’s the only race winning son of Sunday Silence standing anywhere in America!
Looks like his daddy
Between Hat Trick and Alex, Gainesway is probably my favorite farm, stallion-wise
If you do go to Kentucky, the summer is usually quite busy. The best times of year to go (if you want to see the stallions) are actually early in November or early in January during the sales. Farms do open houses (so you can actually go into Gainesway to see Alex, a rare feat) and the horse park isn't busy at all. When we went in January were were the only people in the park. I'd imagine May would be a bad time to go, the farms don't want tons of tourists during breeding season. :)
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE
I guess I’ll be planning my trip for early January!
(Don’t even get me started on being able to see Alex. No, no, that makes me an embarrassingly excited Megan)
I saw you mention that Lonhro wasn't being jumped on by breeders, but I don't think that's the case. When I was at Darley's open house he was one of the few stallions of theirs that was totally booked solid, and they brought him out the most because people kept requesting him. He seemed more popular than Street Cry, Bernardini or Medaglia. So there's hope yet! :P
Let’s hope that “more popular than Bernardini” continues!
I was just going on the fact that I haven’t heard many (or even any) “name” mares going to him. Glad he’s booked, though! I can’t wait to see some of his American babies
With Rachel, the issue she had with them removing part of her colon and "fusing" it back together, I don't see how she can safely have another foal without busting her colon back open again. Okay, so I've never had kids but I feel like giving birth puts a whole ton of pressure onto the colon. But ...I think if she's cleared they'll try again next year. Obvs stonestreet will talk to the vets and do what is best for her, that's the hope anyway :P /two cents
Yeah I really just want to get her vet’s opinion. All of our back and forth on here really mean nothing, it depends on the educated opinions of those caring for her
