Yes, you’re looking at that correctly. That’s spaghetti with parmigiano reggiano and parma prosciutto served in a half wheel of parmesan cheese.

It's called Spaghetti Con Prosciutto E Parmigiano, and it was SO GOOD. Although I was worried that it would slightly border on a the gimmicky side, Basta Pasta made it quite a classy experience for anybody with an appreciation for cheese. Look at those delicious cheese crystals under that prosciutto, that’s some semi-solid deliciousness.
It was a quest for queso that was well worth it, give it a try at 37 W 17th btwn. 5th and 6th ave. Also, do your best to overlook the Pee Wee Herman vibe I’m giving off in those photos.
