Summary:

Sam and Bucky are finally together, which is good. They haven’t come out to the public or to anyone else yet, which is fine. However, they really suck at hiding their relationship, which is bad. Thankfully, their friends are willing to put their skills to use helping Sam and Bucky hide it until they’re ready to come out, however long that takes.

this is my placeholder title for the ghost au people have probably heard me talk about at this point. essentially the plot is sam buys a house for wildly cheap in the DC area and he finds out the reason why is bc it’s haunted by a ghost. said ghost is bucky barnes, and they have a very antagonistic relationship at first, as bucky does NOT like that someone has moved into his home. enemies to lovers, i’m still figuring out all of this plot, but i’ve generally got the ending figured out which is usually what i struggle with (and i’ve written a few scenes here and there!)

excerpt:

The real estate lady puts on the world’s fakest smile, a key asset to her profession, and shakes her head. “They’re all just rumors, Sam. Nothing to listen to.”

He crosses his arms. “What rumors?”

“Real estate superstition is all,” she says, fiddling with the ends of her hair. “People kept saying they couldn’t sell the house because there was a ghost.”

Sam bursts out laughing. It’s not that he doesn’t believe in ghosts; stories floated around constantly at home, and he’d be lying if he thought he hadn’t met one once. 

It’s more that no goddamn ghost is keeping him from the deal of a lifetime. 

“I’ll make sure I thank him for the cheap house then.”

If there is a ghost living in one of my bedrooms, he thinks, he better start paying fucking rent.

What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

Oh god. I lose my mind a bit. I tend to keep trying and trying, which is never good and always ends with me feeling frustrated and sad, just like those last few months. I found that forcing myself to take a break helps a lot. Just actively stopping myself from thinking about it or opening the docs to try again and again. Literally worked like a charm.

Why do you continue writing fics?

Because I love writing. It’s really that simple. That feeling I get when I write a line I’m proud of, or when someone tells me my writing touched or moved them in some way. I like to see how much I’ve improved. I’ve been writing for over ten years and I just love it so much. When I’m happy, I write. When I’m sad, I write. It’s just a great way to express myself and let out those emotions. Also, I really, really enjoy putting my favorite guys in situations.

My day was pretty good. I worked on a sewing project, got some training done for work, and later I'll get to cook dinner with my partner 😊 How was your day?

not a big fan of board games so im gonna list 2 card games and a board game i enjoy: al komi/basra (an egyptian card game), sergeant major (im used to calling it 3-5-8 tho), and dominoes

im so glad to hear!! my day was pretty chill, managed to finally have a relaxing day after a crazy few weeks, got all my studying done, and even wrote a little!
