Formerly thewhore and a big fan xx I'm back
Ahhhhh!! Yesss, I am so glad to have you back darling!!
same person demanding more of the deformed rat! stupidly forgot to look at your art blog more recently and AHHHH! You beautiful snail you. <3 STOP TEASING US AHHHHHHHHHH
Aw, you are so sweet. I know it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything with this blog, I apologize. I am still creating, I just haven’t been doing much posting of it. I need to learn how to document things better.
Anyways, I hope to show more of my deformed rat :) I just have to get around to it!
Hehehe and yeah there’s a whole video of my snail piece that I have yet to post.. I hope to create some gifs of it.. as well..
You are a sweetheart and I am a butt for not getting back to you sooner, I apologize again♥.
Thank you for writing me, it is so very encouraging.
same person freakin out over your deformed rat. >> how do you draw things so evenly/proportionate? your lines always seem so straight, your curves so smooth and flawless. do you use any tools or just your eyesight? i always have issues with things like one eye being bigger than the other, always drawing faces from the same position. what are your sketching techniques? i love art and creating but i've been uninspired as an adult. you inspire me!
Heheh aww, hello! I don’t use tools to draw except my body, whatever I'm drawing on, and whatever I'm drawing with. Every now and then I’ll use a reference, depending on what I’m drawing.Really I say it takes practice, just like everything else. Some patience & practice. Keep drawing and try to pay attention to your own patterns and see what you want to fix or keep the same. Personally, ever since I was young, I've instinctively taken it upon myself in everyday life to observe details. And then when I got older and started to draw... I learned how to use that power of everyday observation and incorporate it into art. Certain art classes typically start you off with drawing/painting still life objects and I believe it's to teach you how objects exist in reality and how to translate that onto paper. Where shadows lie, how gravity plays its part, perspective and such, etc. So another piece of advice would be... practice taking the time to truly see the lines that compose an object, start off small. Try to separate your idea of what an object is into the actual lines that make up its shape (what you see with your eyes). For example, try drawing a banana.. instead of thinking, "I have to draw a banana" focus on the lines that you see right there in front of you. When you are pressured to draw something…. Like eyes, that pressure can alter your perception of what the lines are. Your brain kicks in and you start to draw that you think it is.. instead of the actual lines that exist. Also, I will say it's okay to make mistakes. Maybe practice drawing with graphite so you can erase previous lines. I'd say start drawing and when you see that something isn't quite right erase and fix those parts. You have to start somewhere and having something on your paper first is essential. Don't be afraid, it's just the beginning and just because something isn't exactly how you want it right off the bat... you nurture what you are doing and you nurture your skill til it grows. You will get better; you learn what to look out for through experience.
It's important to allow mistakes, because then it allows for experimentation. Try to mix things up, try to go in a direction that you know you've been avoiding; magical things can happen if you do. And remember photo realistic drawings aren't the only type of drawings that are considered, "good art." Try to think about what you want to express... what does your art mean to you... maybe lopsided faces is what makes your art beautiful.
Art is an extremely personal thing and I’d say there is no “right way” to make art. In my opinion as long as you are true to yourself and it comes from a genuine place, that’s what I consider “good art.”
The art you make is yours; you are free to do anything you want with it so please indulge. Think about your art in relation to yourself. Don’t worry if your art is good enough for other people, think about if your art is good enough for yourself. And if it isn’t up to your own standards… how can you make it better to the point where it feels good to create it?
Creating is a complicated thing and being an adult is a whole other complicated thing, it’s tough…. I know. I definitely get into my own slumps sometimes. I’m glad that I inspire you! Inspiration is a wonderful thing. I try to look for it wherever it can be found.Well, I hope I’ve helped in some way… and I’d love to see what kinds of things you work on! Feel free to send me some of your drawings ;)
Eee, thanks for the response! It was very sweet and heartfelt. Two talented critters creating things together?! I do hope you share some ~
Heheh awww, you are very welcome. It was actually nice to stop and take the time to form our relationship into words, so I should thank you as well! :)It was interesting because, this far, we've just been living out our relationship, our feelings, and our love.. not necessarily assessing it. It was lovely to write some of it out & to find the closest words to describe it.And yeeah! I've been meaning to ask his opinion of posting our stop-motion video on Youtube or Vimeo but I keep forgetting.Hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to share some of our worksss ^-^
Please share a little more about your love? I'm just oh-so curious to know what kind of guy stole your heart. Is he creepy like you? Did you meet him in a weird place?
Oh gosh, um, he's beautiful and sweet and I just get swept up in his mannerisms time and time again. He makes me laugh and we learn from each other, which is a beautifully - refreshing thing. He's the contemplative type with a reserved demeanor, quite bashful at times (depending on his surroundings). Most people will only get to see his quiet side, though I can proudly say I've had the pleasure of seeing so much more...and all of it just makes me wanna eat him up, every lil bit.Hahah, hmm, if you can describe me as creepy then I can safely say that he is too. I guess 'creepy' is a very natural aspect of both of us. Compared to most, it's a relatively organic affinity we share, because we seldom find that word in our vocabulary, at least in any conventional way. And we are both rather surprised when either of us or our work is described as such. Those parts of us definitely bring us closer together because we can appreciate, admire, and dwell in such things. Though just as much as our similarities bring us together we are also able to philosophize and expand ourselves through our differences in perspective and being. And as for the story of how we met.. our first interactions came together completely by happenstance, I knew of him long before ever meeting him. I knew vague details concerning him and his life after randomly stumbling upon his FB page, a little internet stalking went a long way I suppose.. But I will emphasize that I never stalked him in a serious manner, it was more of a passing thing since 'stalking' tends to be a casual pastime of mine. (What can I say, I love the small details, connecting the dots n' such.) Though I did notice that there was always a, seemingly, distinct connection and alluring sensation when it came to him. And then the next thing I knew, we were fated to meet, because we ended being in the same art collective. He is wonderfully creative and can be passionately ambitious and I love aiding him in every way I can. We have a long list of creative endeavors we wish to pursue with one another and I can't wait to see what happens. We've already had the pleasure of collaborating on a stop motion animation, which came together beautifully, especially for being our first try. And we have our foot through the door towards taxidermy... but we need access to dead animals, a storage space for the proper chemicals, and well the funds to get the chemicals needed. Why does money have to be such a bitch..We also plan on getting our hands into casting and molding things, hopefully we'll do that soon. There are endless amounts of details that I could spill all over about him, us, and our art but I'll leave it at that for now.He is very dear to me.
DAMN GIRL <3
💗💗💗
Omg, I absolutely love your pussy-kitty stencil. A kitty face with coochie eyes?! Just too perfect. I also look forward to seeing your progress and future work with your 'mentral embroidering', it's genius. ANDAND I love how you have one of those silly plant/people cases that come with the little figurines, that are sold in Japanese markets? I always stare at them among all the other little goodies when I visit those stores, now I'll 4ever think of you.
Hahaha awwww yer so sweet! I'm happy you like my stencil ^‿^. I would like to give you a shirt wif it painted on!Oh and thank you, thank you. Unfortunately, right now I have to take a break from using my arm... an old injury is flaring up at the moment n' I really just have to take care of my physical health.. even though I so badly wish to ignore it and continue working working working. Ahaha YES! I use that case as my mini travel sewing kit, it's the perfect size. When I saw it at Marukai, I just had to get it. That chubby little peachy face was callin' my name saying, "you neeeeeeeeeeeed me." Oh my, thinking of ME!? Ohh gosh, words like that just make me swoOoOon (。❤ ω ❤。)
i was wondering are you Japanese? do you speak Japanese? <3
Haaallloo, yeahhh I'm Japanese °‿‿°Unfortunately I don't really speak Japanese... I know some basic words... numbers..a little of this n' a little of that. Though I do know how to write Hiragana and Katakana..♡ ♡ ♡
