I love the work you do for the Psiioniic. I love it so much. I'm Kirakokone from YouTube--I don't know if you saw my comment on your video or not. Your Psiioniic is just so great. Your entire concept of the ancestors is amazing. It's taking a lot of effort not to just scream that I love you. My question: what inspired you to use brown hues in the Psiioniic's hair?

Hey, I saw your comment -- I think I replied? I’m not 100% sure.

I’m glad you like what I’m going for with that blog. I miss doing stuff for it. But once I get time I’ll get back to it because there’s still a lot of things I want to cover.

The brown hair is a headcanon of mine for certain blood colours, from Peixes, wrapping back around to lowbloods, up to Leijon’s I give warm brown as their hair colour because their blood is on the warmer side of hue.

'ey thanks friend! I'm using EVA foam sheets. They're about 60cm x 60cm and 1/4 inch deep.

5. What’s your favorite thing to draw?

People! Humanoids are a lot of fun to draw, as are bits of them. Flowers too. A mix of both.

7. How often do you use references?

A lot more as I've gotten older. You can usually tell the difference between something I have and haven't referenced -- at least in my opinion. If it looks less stylised, it's usually referenced.

13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?

I find it very hard to draw something for some one, specifically when it's something they've asked for but I do like drawing things for others at my own accord. Although personal work is my favourite because it's the easiest.

19. What is the most difficult thing for you to draw?

Animals, action poses. I find it very hard to compose three-dimensional space. I prefer a flat surface and composition, but depth is nice every now and then. It's very hard on my hands to draw anything detailed.

21. Do you like to challenge yourself?

Not really, no.

29. For traditional artists: How do you usually start on a big piece? (Light sketch, colored lead, sketchpaper, etc)

I don't really do big works traditionally any more. I guess with my paintings for class I'll sketch out the form first then block in a light, mid and dark tone before working in different tints, blending then finally highlights and lowlights.
