my dog's been missing since early april, and the more time goes by, the more anxious i get. but... i want to do something for her. jamie and roadie are the only f/o's i have with headcanons involving her, so i'm posting them now, in honor of her. ♡
i miss you so much, charlie. wherever you are, i hope you're ok ― going on tons of adventures and sleeping in the comfiest of shirts. i love you, bubbas. （´・｀ ）♡
it starts after they've brought me back to junkertown with them! we've been there for a while and things are going.. as smoothly as they can be lol
“you adjustin’ alright?” “i think so? i still get homesick sometimes, though. i really miss my dog.” “...YOU HAVE A DOG?!”
so naturally we have to go back and get her. roadie's not that happy about another trip halfway around the world, but “he can deal with it! if she makes you happy, we’re bringin’ her home!!!”
the first time they meet goes pretty much the same as every time she meets someone new: tiny upset barking ―“HI HELLO, I KNOW I AM SMOL, BUT I WILL PROTECC. I KNOW YOU ARE HERE AND I DO NOT WIKE IT.”
but! she does get used to them, slowly but surely lol
probably roadie first bc he’s more chill and lets her adjust to him at her own pace
but jamie really wants her to like him, so he tries to get her attention all the time, and gives her tons of snacks
she'll gladly take the snacks, but if he tries anything other than feeding her she chews him out for it lol
cut to roadie letting her chill in his lap and feeding her: “take a breath, jamison.”
she starts really warming up to him when he starts taking her outside on adventures with him. nothing that'd put her in danger, just something fun for both of them, since both of them can be bad at staying in one place for a long time lol
roadie absolutely makes one of those cross-body doggo carriers to pack her around in and does not care how “dumb” it might look
“hey, roadie? have you seen cha- never mind oh my god y’all are so cuuuute~” “...thanks.”
she does not like smoke
so she really doesn’t like jamie’s hair. it’s what takes her the longest time to get used to
“she keeps yelling at me! I thought she liked me! ;^;” “she does. she just hates your hair.” *pouts* “...rude.”
she doesn’t mind his explosives, oddly enough
she'll sometimes sit in his lap while he works on them. (then want him to put her down. then pick her up. then put her back down. then pick her back up-)
he’s gotten really good at keeping her away from them while he’s testing them
…until she sees smoke and decides it’s her job to go yell at it and show it who’s boss skfsyskfds
eventually jamie becomes a really good doggo dad uwu
every time she does something cute, he either a) runs and shows me, b) drags me over and tries to get her to do it again, or c) takes a bunch of pictures/videos if i’m not around
the first time she falls asleep in his arms, we're on the couch watching tv. i’m half asleep next to him and he gently nudges me awake like “look!!!” and she has her nose tucked into his elbow, snoozing away (´▽`ʃƪ)♡ jamie’s so proud he looks like he could cry ;^; 💙
she wakes up a couple minutes later and checks to make sure he's still there before nuzzling back into his arm and falling asleep again. it happens a couple more times before we actually go to bed and she falls asleep in some of our old shirts for the night (シ_ _)シ
