Hi Satan! Would you rather have to spend an entire week with Lucifer (and be nice to each other) or not be able to read a book for a decade
Begrudgingly, a week being nice to Lucifer. A week of torment is far less so than a decade.

To both satan and dee: would y'all rather an evening with Stephen King or a day with Edgar Allen Poe?
Edgar Allan Poe. I’m a fan of his works, I’ve yet to read many by Stephen King.
{I would also go for Poe. I’ve only read The Raven, The Black Cat, and The Tell-Tale Heart but I have a friend that’s a Poe fangirl so I’d just take her question list or something.}
*the feeling of weakness and helplessness was overwhelming, but having someone remind you that they're there for you can be so cathartic. that was the case now. the hand was gentle and warm, and they folded down to press their forehead to their knees once they were seated. the tears would have to stop eventually, and eventually came soon enough* I'm-I'm sorry. This wasn't what I came for. I didn't mean to-- *practically punches away the tears; how embarrassing* -sad MC
The hand moved, placed on their back. Small circles rubbed gently. He always seemed to know what to say. The right words to get what he wanted, what others needed to hear. Only with them did words fall short at times, nothing practised or rehearsed. Raw and real and his own. Things he couldn't find behind the pages of a book.
"You don't need to apologise. You're hurting. You're afraid. You came to me, and I'm here. What you're feeling, you're allowed to feel it without being sorry. It must be exhausting."
