Ask my Muse ANYTHING! They can’t refuse an answer, must be 100% honesty! | Accepting!
anonymous asked: Could you ever see yourself getting married? Not necessarily settling down and having a family sort of thing, but having someone you'd be down to spend the rest of your life with? (100% honesty question)
“While I’m certainly not the sort that would marry out of observation of traditional matrimonial procedure, or out of love, or even any sort of sentimental motive, for the white picket fence lifestyle is far from my own---I suppose if I were to encounter the right individual under just the right circumstances, then I couldn’t rule out marriage as a possibility.”
In fact, he’d been proposed to and had proposed on a few occasions---though those instances had never been followed through to fruition. And, curiously, the other party had always met with quite... intriguing deaths, with their belongings ending up mysteriously missing in the aftermath.
Name: Zolf Jay Kimbley (not changing his name because i would likely keep forgetting his Other Self’s name :/)
Birthdate: May 16th, 1884
Height: 5′11″
Weight: Approx. 160 lbs
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Half German, half Chinese
Identity: Cis male (he/him pronouns)
Orientation: Basically just attracted to other evil people? And also has a bunch of paraphilias? It’s uh. It’s complicated.
Brief Bio:
Kimbley grew up in Germany with his father and mother, though his mother passed away when he was five years old due to a lifelong but unknown illness. Being raised by a single parent was difficult, but his father did his best to keep a stable environment for Kimbley.
Unbeknownst to him, his child was involved in some very dark practices, “playing doctor” with small animals and engaging in various delinquent behavior. Despite this, Kimbley attended school, successfully graduated, and attended university to become a doctor.
In 1914 he worked as a medic during the Great War, and was renowned for his skill and precision. In truth, he had been engaging in many heinous surgeries and experiments on a number of the soldiers that had been pronounced in “critical condition” or even “dead”—but this remained publicly undocumented and unpunished.
He continues his practice to this day, moonlighting as a part time torturer and serial killer who has been highly successful in covering his tracks.
Kimbley currently lives Germany, and though it has been suggested that he join the N*zi party, he has declined, stating that his one and only concern is “the well-being of his patients.”
Additional Info:
Unlike his Amestris counterpart, this Kimbley has short hair. (Think his regular hairstyle, minus the ponytail.) His eyes, however, are the same shade.
He knows fluent German, English, ASL, and a smattering of Chinese.
(Other info may be added/changed in accordance to the development of this AU)
This is an AU based roughly on the original The Omen movie series. Therefore, some artistic liberties are being taken based on the original religious interpretation of the Antichrist. (Some information subject to change/revision if needed.)
WARNING: Do not read further if you are sensitive to religious themes. In addition, a friendly reminder that just because I’m writing a super evil character, it does not mean I support said super evil. Although I’m pretty sure if you’re following me, you should know this by now, but religious elements tend to take it to the next level of discomfort for some people. So yeah, if you’re cool with all of this, by all means, go on. :>

Born of the union between the Devil and a jackal, the newborn Zolf Jay Kimbley was taken from his cradle by a sect of Old Age Satanists—disguised as doctors and nurses—and given to a politician and his wife in place of their own freshly-delivered baby. (They believe Kimbley to be their own child, though whatever happened to their biological child is unknown.)
The child was raised in a very high class environment, albeit somewhat dangerous due to the extremely important status of his “father,” with the constant threat of assassination hanging over the family’s head. Zolf ended up following in his “father’s” footsteps (both fathers’ footsteps, actually) after going to a private school and military academy, becoming an incredibly influential politician—and he is still very quickly rising the ranks.
He serves as the ultimate False Messiah and the figure of ultimate evil—the one that will attempt to sway humankind into destruction and bring about the End of Days.
Unique identifiers:
Demonic brands located somewhere on his body. Spoiler alert: they’re on his palms. The symbols themselves have never been seen by human eyes, though if viewed, they will be instinctively known to be the epitome of unholiness. This is why Kimbley wears gloves at all times.
His golden eyes. They are almost the shade of a jackal’s, albeit brighter due to being imbued with the evil energy of his Father.
Abilities:
The power of suggestion. While he cannot control minds, he can influence thoughts and emotions in other people. It helps him in getting people to do what he wants.
Telekinesis. Objects can be manipulated through a mental current, though they cannot be lifted directly.
Communication with “demonic” animals. These include crows/ravens, bats, flies/grasshoppers/ants/plague-like insects that move in large groups, cats and dogs/wolves, snakes, goats, and toads. He is able to get these animals to do his bidding—whatever it might be.
Hyper-healing. Any type of wound will heal very quickly. Even in extreme instances of injury—such as decapitation or disembowelment—he can be revived.
Weaknesses:
He is unable to enter holy places, such as churches/mosques/synagogues or graveyards, and holy symbols bother his mental processes. However, a strong belief or blessing must be imbued in the object or place—otherwise, it is useless. Kosher foods also make him ill.
The Seven Sacred Daggers of Tel Megiddo. These are the only weapons that can kill the Antichrist. Information based on the movies here.

Brief Bio:
(Note: Most of Kimbley’s modern AU story roughly coincides with his canon version, but with slight variances to fit into our universe.)
Born to a German father and Chinese mother who immigrated to the United States (Massachusetts, to be exact), Kimbley grew up a fairly quiet but intelligent child. His mother died when he was 5 years old, but his father raised him as best as he could with love and care.
However, it didn’t really matter; when he wasn’t cooped up in the house studying gory medical dictionaries, young Kimbley was spending a lot of his time engaging in not just delinquent behavior (small things like loitering or petty vandalism), but in borderline psychopathic pastimes including but not limited to torturing animals, arson, and conscienceless acts of violence.
At 13 he set fire to his residence, his father inside. Quick thinking managed to convince the first responders that the behavior leading up to the incident was unintentional. Nonetheless, he was given a sentence of five years for arson and reckless involuntary manslaughter.
After his sentence was complete, the life insurance policy that would have gone to Kimbley was revoked due to his conviction, and it was basically impossible for him to hold down a job or pursue higher education due to his record. So instead of seeking an “honest” living, he turned to the underground, using the street-savvy skills he had learned in the juvenile detention to work as a pimp and drug dealer.
He became particularly attracted to the black market business, however, and for a while merely delivered the goods (mostly kidneys, hearts, livers, and lungs). But he eventually grew interested in actually procuring said goods, and through recollection of his reading and work with animals during his youth and hard study, managed to claim a surgeon-like skill when it came to handling a scalpel.
And after a delivery job to a high class club called the Devil’s Nest at the behest of the employer named “Greed,” he offered Kimbley a side job at his establishment---if he would be willing to share a bit of that black market cash with the club. Until that time Kimbley had been living place to place, but now claimed a base of operations, and offering just a bit of scratch was no skin off his nose. Really, the black market work itself was the true reward.
Bonus Facts:
Knows English, German, and ASL, as well as a bit of spoken Mandarin Chinese, which he is still working on learning in his spare time (note: mun only knows English but just pretend that Kimbley is smarter than me okay)
When he isn’t engaging in his devious black market work, he’s usually bartending at the Nest for a little extra cash
Goes by his last name instead of his first because during his time in juvie both the detainees and officers mostly referred to one another by their last names, and it remained a habit of his. In addition, going by “Zolf” reminds him too much of the endearing way his father would speak to him
(Information subject to change or updates during the development of this AU)
This post will cover the differences between canon events and Kimbley’s canon-divergent verse. I’d appreciate if folks took a moment to read, as it’s important to my Kimbley’s characterization and history, as his story continues even after the anime’s completion; this particular verse, which I will default to unless otherwise specified, will be “v: the crimson monster.”
PLEASE NOTE: I am also willing to RP before these ensuing headcanon events, if that would be easier, which is a separate verse, “v: the dwelling monster”---but if you are interested in developing something in v: the crimson monster, please let me know!! Otherwise, when I default to v: the crimson monster, unless plotted, it will be set in the multiverse.
So with this info, any further “lol how’d it feel to betray greed” asks will be promptly trashed.
Canon ensues as normal: after Alphonse’s kidnapping at Dante’s mansion, Izumi inquires as to her younger student’s whereabouts, and Dante points her in the direction of the Devil’s Nest. Meanwhile, Alphonse is bound in the basement of the Nest while Greed grills him concerning the secrets behind his soul attachment, Izumi appears and combats Greed, and Edward soon arrives as well.
However, due to Kimbley’s thought process (my Kimbley’s reasoning is that if the State arrested him once, who’s to say they wouldn’t do it again? “Fool me once…” and all that), events from here play out differently. So because Kimbley never betrayed Greed by leading the military to the location of the Devil’s Nest, the Raid never occurred.
Instead, these events took place:
Edward and Izumi, not doing so well in their fight against Greed, ask why it is the Homunculus has a need for Alphonse. Greed explains the whole wanting immortality/invincibility thing through the use of soul attachment, and Ed argues that Homunculi don’t have souls, and therefore such a feat could not be achieved.
Greed, of course, laughs in his face, so saying he imagines Dante told him that, and Edward is, in turn, perplexed. How does this monster know Dante? The Homunculus then goes into detail about Dante’s wickedness—how she uses the Homunculi to do her bidding by tricking them into thinking they’re undeserving monsters, all while jumping from body from body to extend her life with the Philosopher’s Stones she has tricked people into making, and that she is the true root of the evil that is occurring in Amestris. That was the reason Greed had been imprisoned for so long: because he refused to continue to be a part of her schemes, and only desired his freedom.
However, Greed dare not confront her directly due to her power over him, and so he makes a deal with Edward: confront Dante on his behalf and retrieve the remainder of his bones—”for sentimental reasons,” he suggests—and he shall release Alphonse. Edward agrees—however, upon arriving at Dante’s abode, he sees that she has been torn apart, and Lyra is nowhere to be found. (And maybe something else interesting happens here, like Ed has to confront one of the Homunculi, and so Ed might think it was they who were responsible for Dante’s and possibly Lyra’s deaths—but I’m not going to go too in-depth at this point.)
Edward manages to find Greed’s bones and returns to the Nest, and Greed—a man of his word and seemingly satisfied—returns Alphonse, though Ed questions why Greed wanted those bones back so badly.
Making sure his bones are secure, he states that the remnants of the people whom an alchemist attempted to bring back are the Homunculi’s weakness—and thus, in delivering this information with such honesty and willingness to comply, Greed becomes a rough ally to the Elrics. However, he warns the Elrics that he should not believe Dante to be entirely deceased—the old woman has always had plenty of tricks up her devious sleeve, so it would be best for them to remain cautious as they attempt to eliminate the rest of the Homunculi.
…Oh, and by the way, once that’s all done, Greed totally plans to re-kidnap Alphonse. For old time’s sake. totally not joking
And so the story continues as normal, with Edward getting Sloth’s remains, etcetera and so on, though I imagine with minor differences (which I might go into but I would need to do a thorough re-watch). The events of Conqueror of Shamballa follow in 1917, but I’m not sure I would want Kimbley directly involved.
However, if someone has any ideas, please hit me up!
In order to make interacting with folks from other series, Kimbley’s main verse (v: the crimson monster) will serve as a multiversal convergent point. In addition, my Kimbley diverges from canon completely by never betraying Greed and living at the Nest—just to explain how he interacts with all of these Brohood/crossover characters. Because lord knows with how many Brohood Kimblees he’s encountered (and probably will encounter the more time passes), he’s gotta be aware of the multiverse at this point :|
