It is based on ARM’s design with improvements done by Qualcomm.
Fabrication: It is based on TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) 10nm process
CPU: It has Octa core processor in ARM’s big.LITTLE format. 4 x Cortex A75 performance cores running @ 2.8 GHz and 4 x Cortex A55 energy efficiency cores running @ 1.8 GHz
Performance: It is 25% better in performance and 30% in energy efficiency
GPU: It has Adreno 630 which latest in it’s series
Charging: Supports Qualcomm’s Quick charge 4/4+ which can charge your phone upto 50% in only 15 minute.
Camera- It can support upto 32MP cameras, with 4K recording
Video- 2400x 2400 resolution recording at 120fps
AI (Artificial Intelligence)- Apart from CPU and GPU it has Hexagon 685 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) which can provide upto 3x better AI tasks than Snapdragon 835
Security- It has support for all the major security technologies as follows
I hope we would see this amazing SoC in next Samsung Galaxy and Google pixel series smartphone and other high end phones. Apart from smartphones. It would be seen it Windows 10 laptops also.
