Hourou Musuko Wandering Son

Watching an anime on Crunchyroll. It's called "Hourou Musuko Wandering Son." It's... one of the few works about trans people I've encountered that's actually about trans people, rather than being about the cis experience of having trans people exist.

I've only seen the first two episodes so far, but it's quite well-made. The same artist who created "Sweet Blue Flower," the first anime I've ever seen that used the words "lesbian" and "bisexual," wrote the original manga.

The first episode was a hard watch, but it was also really, really... true.

I think I can recommend this one.

Back To Future (Episodes)

So, the episode of One Piece where I left off is titled, "The Rivals Struggle Among Themselves!" which is why I went back to watch the Sabaody episodes. Just a quick reminder who the fuck those people were.

But, despite what Law seems to believe, you can't live in the past, right X. Drake? Right! It's time to look towards the future, full speed ahead!

Besides, as I recall Dressrosa was awesome but done and it was time to kick back and celebrate. Food and drinks all around. Nothing but clear skies and party boats ahead, people!

Based on a quick glance at their other crew members, am I right in thinking that other esteemed Heart Pirates include: Caribou, Ganchō and Orosmarus?

Where as Kid's Flagship (I'm gonna guess it's name is Galleon. But it could be Ironside) is home to Trace, Shade and Jackboot?

Please tell me all the supernovas have similar naming themes as requirement for joining their crew.

I hope Bonney names all her crew after foods she likes. That way she knows she likes them!

Hot Take: The Drake Pirates are all named after colors. Whose your favorite Drake Pirate? I mean, I really love Cerulean but Burgundy has had some solid storylines. And of course Lime and Hot Pink are adorable.

I was leaning over to get a drink and this scene flashed over the screen and for a whole 20 seconds (I had to rewind twice to get this screencap - it's a quick tease of a scene!) I thought Doflamigo was back and got really excited. Which is wrong. He's a bad, bad man and I'm happy for Dressrosa. I just love the drama he brought to being evil, okay? He clearly loved his classics and I appreciated the effort.

Anyway, so fuck you Mr Whover-The-Hell-You-Are for making me want Doflamigo back! Fuck you and the... I don't know. I'm gonna say... Donkey Giraffe you rode in on!

I mean look at this guy...

If you told me him and Doflamingo were designed by two separate people with no contact or prior knowledge of the other design I would call you a fucking liar and I would be right.

He is CLEARLY meant to invoke Doflamingo!

ETA: It was a giant alligator so that was either some really shoddy animation on their part or fucking awful guesswork from me.

(You know how it is, mistaking alligators for donkey-giraffes.)
