These delicious and inexpensive homemade donuts are made with canned biscuit dough. They're easy to prepare and the ideal way to sate your sweet tooth!
Ingredients: 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 2 tablespoons milk. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350F 175C. While the oil is heating, open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round cutter or the top of a small glass to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit, creating a donut shape. Place the cut biscuits in the hot oil and fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown. Remove the donuts from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze. Dip each donut into the glaze, making sure to coat it evenly. Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off. Let the glaze set for a few minutes, and your budget-friendly canned biscuit donuts are ready to enjoy!
