Quick Kills || Riker, Shasta
Riker searched around the room, watching many of the other tributes practice, checking to see what their methods might possibly be. Obviously, everyone had a certain plan wandering in their mind, and it definitely showed. Riker noticed that some people had spent all day at certain stations, like spears or batons, and others had tried to get as much variety as possible. Both very reasonable tactics, but Riker just liked to flow around and hit up whatever he felt like.
He knew Burton might be a little pissed that he wasn't putting too much effort into it, but he still had a couple of days left, and he would definitely be prepared before the arena. Riker seemed to care more about making friendships with people then improving his skills. If he could get allies with several skills to help him out, it would be a little easier for him to stay alive in the arena.
Although, Riker did want to check out some of the cooler stations. There were plenty of cool things to try out, like the spiked maces, the sais, and even something like the blowdarts. If you could fashion a dart out of just like stone or wood or something, you could easily find hollow pieces of bark or even carve out hollow wood and provide yourself with an easy homemade blowdart. It'd be interesting to try and apply later on, so it seemed like a good idea to try it out.
As he arrived, he noticed somebody else was trying to figure it out as well. He hadn't seen her before, though she seemed older than him, and he knew he wouldn't be able to forget her now. She was....pregnant? This tribute had been reaped and she was with child! That would be interesting to see this year. He wasn't sure if he should make conversation or not so he simple said. "Hi there." As he reached for the materials.
