hi sid! hope you're doing alright. i was wondering about your meadow dr, it made me very curious ! is it based on any piece of media or is it just... well, a meadow? is it where you live, are there fantasy elements, is it a bit like a waiting room? i have so many questions if you're comfortable with sharing your answers. maybe a sort of intro post is what i'm asking for here haha
hi kami! ✨️ thank you for asking! i would love to talk about it.
so, to be honest, i haven't scripted that much of this reality because i prefer my subconscious to do it haha. but i can tell you where it came from.
it started as an idea of how i imagined my own personal heaven would look like when i was a kid. i loved writing poems constantly as a child, and i had imagined this place almost effortlessly. i had written a poem about it and called it "the fields of heaven." it's a magical sort of meadow with a large, ancient, and wise tree. the weather there is perfect; it is not hot or cold. it is warm but not humid. there's a light, warm wind. there's a variety of beautiful flowers in this meadow.
then it went from there. a few years later, i read the novel the lovely bones by alice sebold, and in this book, heaven is also similarly depicted as my meadow dr! here is how it looks in the movie:
so, even though i had already cemented this place for myself, this movie definitely inspired me to expand my imagination even more!!
a few years later (i don't remember exactly when), my family and i were on a trip and we visited a lovely thrift store. inside, i found a holographic, framed photo of a place just like my meadow dr! i've been obsessed with this photo all my life and i still have it on my wall at my apartment. here it is:
it's really neat because you can look at it from different angles, and it feels like i could step right through it ☺️
now, for the last media reference, i was very invested in twilight as a teen, and the famous meadow scene from the book definitely inspired even more of my meadow dr ❤️
oh, and!! i want to explain a bit more about this. for years, before i knew about shifting, i just called it my happy place. back when i got into meditation, i would often visualize my meadow because it brings a sense of comfort. it would help me relax to go there in my mind and imagine that i am being comforted by the tree and the meadow.
to me, the tree in my meadow is source, it's love, it's all of everything. when i touch my tree in my dr, i receive waves of love, peace, and understanding. love for myself, but also love for everything all at once. it's very special! i don't know exactly why i feel so connected to this tree (or trees in general), i just do! i'm sure there is a deeper meaning there, but my soul is certainly connected to trees & forests.
a few years back, i started to imagine what my perfect reality would look like. i knew it would look like my meadow, but i wanted to expand upon this. that's when i started adding details. behind my meadow, down through the woods, there's a cabin, and that's where my family is. in my dr, i have two children, a boy and a girl, and i have my significant other. i haven't scripted their names yet, but i know they are there. we live in a comfortable, cozy cabin, and a few of my cr family members live nearby too. my cat that passed away in my cr also lives here at the cabin (and he loves going to the meadow just as often as i do). my meadow dr doesn't really have any fantasy elements (yet), other than the tree itself. but this could change!
when i realized i wanted to get into shifting, i knew this was the place i wanted to go first.
interestingly, other than my cat, i don't often picture people in my meadow. the meadow and the tree are all the company i would need, but lately i have been expanding this and imagining my family out there with me, sometimes. in general, though, the meadow is like my dr self's private little get-away! (even tho it is so close to home).
sorry this got so long! i hope this answered your questions. my meadow dr is so so special and close to my heart 💗 i can't wait to shift there and learn even more about it.
