Apparently when you have a small system and things need to get done your brain doesnt decide to, you know, make a new guy, as is the protocol for having multiple guys
no it decides that the most sane guy gets to have every job on the planet. someone help me.
Syscourse is a combination of the words "system" and "discourse!" We personally use it to mean people getting into fights (distinct from calm debates) over plural topics, most commonly origin... essentially, when we say we don't like syscourse, it means I don't want to be involved in "pro-endos/anti-endos are EVIL" discussions because I find them to be 99% of the time in bad faith >_> thank u for asking!
Umm kinda? The thing is that in headspace we all have the ability to just. Conjure things and make them disappear. So usually its like, the white void, besides our fronting room which is more solid, and we can just. Poof stuff into existence. If Luci wants a couch, she can just summon it! If someone is angry and wants a punching bag, there it is!
This works on a huge scale, so people can just conjure entire houses if they want, and they'll be stored in our memory for later when they're no longer needed. The most frequent thing that gets summoned is The Garden where we all can just like.. relax.
"💧 - how does fronting work for your system? do u have a “front room”?"
We do have a front room! It's the default thing we imagine when we think about headspace. Basically, its a room with 4 walls, one of which is basically a screen showing Real Life through the body's eyes. Outside of that we have 3 main "areas" that usually correspond to how close people are to front.
Right in front of the screen are the main fronters, talking and controlling the body, but closer to the back of the room there are a bunch of beanbags where cofronters will sit. There's a door in the back of the room that leads to the rest of the white void that is headspace, where anyone not Actively fronting goes. As for how front works.. different sides just kinda get pushed to front at random? Sometimes they have hyperspecific triggers, like Blythe & Gordon, but other times they'll just start blending into Host and then we Realize they're there. We think most of it has to do with how Host feels.
"❄️ - how often do ur hosts/fronting patterns change?"
Well, we've never had a proper host switch, and the addition of enigma as a cohost took us by surprise, which is to say, we have a pretty concrete way our system works with hosts! There's a reason Host goes by faer title here! Fronting patterns do shift though, as we mentioned its pretty hard to tell when exactly different fronts take place, but generally we've noticed that full switches are very rare, and only happen when Host lets her guard down for awhile.
Headmate list is very out of date btw um. Newest arrivals:
Subsys update! Our janusian, livius, is a subsys 👍 there are three but you only get to know about Janus 🐍, (he/it/ve) the one who talks, and Mind ⚙️, (they/it/ve) the one who kinda doesn't. Mind is basically Most of Livius, Janus is just more charismatic.
