Made my first ever crochet sweater for my niece. A very eye-opening experience, but if the thing doesn’t fall apart within a month, I’ll call it a full success!

Potato

(My mother’s coworker at a local middle school was driven to tears by selfish rude entitled parents, so my mother asked if I could make a positivity potato for her. I now have a ten pound box of polyfill and no more excuses to not try more amigurumi patterns in the new year. In fact, it might be imperative XD)

So I’ve realized that I sweater cursed my local dnd group XD I started making a cardigan inspired by my character for that campaign back in April. I’m nowhere near done, but as of right now we’re putting the main campaign on an indefinite hiatus after four years, so I won’t be playing that character again for a while. Sweater curse.

Today on adventures in crochet: found a super cool skull granny square pattern! Also found a super simple bag pattern and thought, I can make a bag from this super cool skull granny square! Spent two and a half hours doing math and color piecing before realizing this granny square is probably not a good thing to use to make a bag with!!! I’m fine!!!! :’)

My mom’s Mother’s Day gift is gonna be late, so I’m crocheting some coasters for her as a kind of consolation gift in the meantime! So, for all of you who don’t know my mom at all, and with the understanding that I’m still very much a novice and these coasters will be lumpy and probably unfit for use (and also different colors than this):
