When Frisk thinks about it, they aren’t sure. The memory is faint and dark and hazy, like a nightmare. It feels like a nightmare, too.
They hit their head hard when they fell. They remember that most clearly: their body in screaming protest, their mind fogged, their head pounding. Then, a face. A smile.

The voice didn’t seem to come from the other person’s mouth, but Frisk’s own. They remember thinking--how odd--and then they remember nothing at all.
They woke up on a bed of flowers with light streaming onto their face.
