      veronica couldn’t imagine how betty was feeling after chuck called her out in front of everyone. she still had no idea what had been going through betty’s head the night they attacked chuck, she’d avoided the topic, but now it had been brought up again. “hey..are you okay after everything?”

                  she’s sitting in the library, chewing on a pencil and staring at an old book. really, she has no reason to be reading this book, other than the fact that the title was cool and she was bored. mae had come to the library for a different reason earlier, but that reason was lost on her now. as was the book. looking for something to entertain her, the girl looked over to the person sitting next to her, deciding she was a good fit for conversation.

    It was the time of the day where all the lunch and study hall periods had finished, and the majority of people were stuck sitting in the classes that dragged. Even the student Lounge was near empty of people around this time; quiet enough to actually hear the machine dispense his water bottle.  While gulping his water down, Reggie glanced up at the clock, noting there were still two periods to go. That recognition alone, killed his hurry back to class. Which lead him to scan the room—in just a beat, his scoping stopped with eyes set on Betty. The thought served an instant reminder back to the search party for Polly. Which had only just been a day, or two ago? ‘No that wasn’t yesterday.’ he thought to himself as his gaze had brought eye-contact. The unusual quiet in the lounge and meeting eyes had been enough a gestured ‘hey’ between the two. “Any news from Polly?” Reggie called out to her, still standing there, casually starting up a conversation without even motioning some steps closer.
