Uuh, I love that non-US ask thing! I'm gonna go with 1, 4, 6, 7, 27 (they are all pretty good though)

Sorry about the late answer! Anyway:

1. favourite place in your country? Nothing specific comes to mind, but I like old towns with a lot of old buildings and cobblestone streets and a lot of history that you can still see

4. favourite dish specific in your country? All the bread. It’s what I miss most when I’m abroad.

6. most hated song in your native language? Ugh. Probably something like Fiesta Mexicana (the title isn’t German, but the song is, and it’s awful) I generally hate Schlager, Karnevalsmusik and German party music.

7.three words from your native language that you like the most? That was hard! I don’t think I ever thought about this before….but: gemütlich. It means comfortable, but more…an atmosphere (clothes, space, company, whatever) in which nothing is awkward and that just makes you feel good. And: doch. There’s nothing that is so satisfactory and wonderfully passive-agressive. It means yes, but in response to a negative sentence, for example: “You can’t do that” - “Yes, I can.”  “Das kannst du nicht machen!” - “Doch!” And, Zettelkasteneinlage because it is such a perfect example of German absurdity

27. favourite national celebrity? Probably Reinhard Mey, a singer/songwriter.

Thank you to @juleswritesthis @quirkyquantumqueen and @fionaroleplays for your encouraging words before my interview yesterday! And to anyone else who may have sent me positive thoughts! I really appreciate it. I didn’t get a chance to update you after the interview because my whole day yesterday was nuts, but I think it went really well! Academia is freaking slow, so it may take a while before I know anything, but I feel really good about it! Thanks, friends! <3

Ginny Weasly, from Harry Potter.  Idk, the older I get, the more I adore her.  She wins at everything, and the movies don’t do her justice. 

Ben Wyatt, from Parks and Rec.  Another precious little muffin. 

Juliet Burke, from LOST.  The definition of badass and I love her. 

Bonus - Johnson the Metaphysical Goalie from OMGCP.  I don’t even have a reason that this delights me so much, but he does.

V - Which character do you relate to most?

Bilbo Baggins.  I’m not sure that I need to explain this.  ;) 

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

Brooklyn99 is probably the biggest one.  I should probably watch that at some point.

Do we already know who will be eligible for Emmy nominations? I think I've read somewhere that supporting actors need at least 15% screen time, so that will be very close for a lot of actors. Also, do we know who will count as main vs supporting actor? (Guess Edgar is the only one who could be both?).

I think most if not all the actors on the panel at last night’s FYC event are eligible (plus Penelope and Finn). To be eligible for supporting, actors need at least 5% of the screentime which for ACS is ~25 minutes. The ones that are on the cusp are Judith, Jon Jon, and Max, and we’ve already received confirmation Judith’s eligible and FX is planning a big push. I assume the other two can also submit given their presence on the panel, as opposed to Mike Farrell who wasn’t on the panel but attended the event anyway.

The Gold Derby predictions center has Edgar and Penelope for supporting, though this early in the game some of the placements are guesses by the GD editors. If they were able to get early confirmation for Judith they could’ve also gotten confirmation for Edgar and Penelope which categories they would submit. It wouldn’t make sense for Edgar to submit for lead anyway because 1) despite being promoted as part of the main cast he’s had less screentime than other supporting actors like Cody or Finn and 2) Darren is a strong contender in lead and wouldn’t benefit from vote splitting. Penelope could go lead if they wanted to make way for Judith in supporting though.

Can I just say: The Trope of the Week is an awesome idea! Since I came into the fandom so late, I still have tons and tons of fanfic to catch up on. This week alone I had to add so many fics to my reading list. So thank you!
