Four Quick Tips to Combat Cravings
Whether you have quit smoking for 3 days or 2 years, the urge to smoke seems to present itself in the most stressful situations. Rather than slam your head against the wall, here are a few quick tips to combat cravings.
1. Phone a friend.
2. Inhale and exhale deeply.
3. Get physical. Run the stairs, play with the dogs, or do some crunches.
4. Stay busy. Find ways to distract yourself. For example, try washing the dishes or checking the mail.
Cravings typically only last 3-4 minutes. Be patient. Learn to control yourself and redirect your cravings.
