#Thursdaythoughts I do so believe in this #quotesforteachers I believe educators pave the way for students to want to learn more and be more. I'm not sure how the current educational setup here locally would be able to fulfill this. So much time has been wasted in this corona year. Will things ever get back to 'as before'??? I'm honestly not so convinced. It's the realist in me. We all need to adjust to new realities and be prepared for tomorrow. Whatever it will bring.

#Thursdaythoughts as I was learning to teach my then young daughter, I read a lot about the work of Maria Montessori. I was impressed with her works and really learned a lot. I would like to think that it helped me in raising my daughter well. It also helped when I did freelance tutorials. I will cherish my teaching years, knowing it won't be the same anymore from hereon.

#Thursdaythoughts sharing another card from #quotesforteachers. If I remember correctly, Anne Sullivan was the teacher of Helen Keller. I've read the story in my younger days and also got to teach it while doing my tutorials. I honestly miss doing tutorials as I also learn a lot from it. I remember it was a pretty inspiring story wherein teaching has made a positive impact on a learner's life. I'm still an educator at heart, and nothing is as fulfilling as seeing your learner reach a new level.

#Thursdaythoughts sharing another #quotesforteachers. Sometimes as an educator, we give too much of ourselves to our learners. But we can only do so much. My advice is to also care enough for oneself so there's more than enough left to recharge and teach more.

#Thursdaythoughts features another #quotesforteachers that I believe in. We impart a lot on the thinking of young learners. It's important we teach ourselves to be better people, so we could impart the same to our learners. I remember way back when I was still teaching, the best times were those when I was sharing to my students some life lessons I have learned.

As an educator, teach your pupils to think for themselves. That will be crucial for survival in these trying times.

#Thursdaythoughts edition for another #quotesforteachers card. As an educator, I enjoyed the challenge of piquing the interest of my then young learners. I would rather teach them how to think than what to think. 😉👍🏼 no doubt that's the long way but there's no short cut to quality teaching. I do wonder now how my former students are doing right now. I hope that they're coping well despite the challenges of the time.
