I'm not ok with those tags. ELIZABETH PIRATE KING YES THAT'S WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR. Tbh when I was like 13 and watched the third film it was pretty clear to me that Elizabeth was on the island waiting for Will on that day but she'd had all sorts of adventures (with Jack??? maybe). I mean, it was and still is obvious to me that she could never just sit and wait for her husband.

damn i wish i saw it like that too?? but after finishing awe for the first time i was like WHY??? why is elizabeth there on land waiting?? then on second thought (and as i got older) it was obvious to me she had to go out and sail the seas but right away i didn’t get that feeling (i was heartbroken tbh)

I totally agree with you! (sorry about the bombs, hahaha) I am excited because it’s a new film but didn’t they learn anything from the last movie??? They can’t forget about the last three films because the story is not just about angry pirates sailing through the sea, it’s about Jack, Will and Elizabeth (and Barbossa, and Gibbs, etc, etc.). Badly comparing, they did the same thing with Glee. When the original group graduated they brought in a new one and no one liked it. Then they noticed that what the audience liked the most about the show wasn’t really the musical numbers but the characters they had created and we had learned to love. I thought they’d learnt the lesson by now with Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m so glad we share this disappointment, Cris. <3

ahh the synopsis like i’m suuper excited bc it’s a new movie and everything but at the same time… that synopsis??? what a let down honestly.. a dead pirate determined to kill every pirate at sea?? and he happens to be an old nemesis of jack?? (which we have never heard of?) but i guess what baffles me the most is the TRIDENT OF POSEIDON like lmao okay AGAIN everyone will be after it (and it also sounds so MAGICAL you know like what about calypso??? the goddess of the seas??) and i’m sorry but what’s even the point of having ghost pirates if norrington is not back?? or WILL TURNER who happens to be the very same CAPTAIN OF THE FLYING DUTCHMAN whose work consists on ferrying the dead souls to the other side???? and where’s ELIZABETH SWANN THE PIRATE KING when “every pirate at sea” is in danger?????? lmao okay okay it’s not 100% confirmed will or norry won’t be back (like i would be happily surprised if they appeared and i would totally forgive whatever monstrosities they made) but after the last movie??? keeping my hopes down is the best thing to do
